King Abdullah and President Hugo Chavez

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is a greatly controversial man and he recently made some statements recently that could get him in a lot of trouble. He actually threatened to cut off oil supplies to the USA if they succeed in seizing Venezuelan assets. Although this is a very interesting piece of news one cannot help but think what if Saudi Arabia decided to do the same? The last time someone decided to get between the USA and its oil they sent their army over to arrest the President and occupy the country.

Yes indeed I am referring to Iraq. The USA is a capitalist state and will do anything to maximize its production capacity so if Saudi Arabia decided that it would stand up and say ‘NO!’ to supplying the USA with any more oil, the bombs might be flying a little closer to home.

Do you think it is possible that Saudi might follow one day in the footsteps of the ever courageous Hugo Chavez? Do you think the consequences would be as dire as I anticipated?

You should ask the people of Venezuela if THEY think Chavez is "courageous"...Most would say NO. Saudi Arabia makes an enormous amount of money selling oil to the USA. I doubt they would want to forego their extravagant lifestyles.
