Yeah i thought she looked stuck up and her comments were abit cocky......i had not seen staracademy4, but since i'm bored these days i decided to follow this season :P, anyway what i mean is i don't really know how she was - personality wise.

I still think that people who reach stardom this fast can get abit big headed, but it's just been a year so i think it's all an act, and i mean if shab khalid could be so down to earth (ofcourse him being a worldwide star) then who the hell does she think she is acting like a snob, 9a7 inha mashayfa khair!

Infact i find it more respectful that she does that because she is putting effort into her performances for star academy and giving it importance............while some singers come in so undressed and look like they'v been forced into coming. It has got absolutely nothing to do with modesty or humbleness. After all starac is what made her who she is today and i think the least she can do is perform her best for them......and she did a great job. well done shatha keep it up!!!!

why should she have to compensate for something she just wants to add to her appearance on stage. so she decided to get a new look BIG DEAL. member najwa karam did the same thing during the first prime. apparently its a crime to look good and sing great. now that she is a star she has the same privelages as all the other guests that come on the show. u don't expect her to come on stage with sweat pants and pajamas do u so don't criticize her.

Some great comments and as always I respect everyone's opinions greatly! All I have to say is that NO not EVERY star has to change after every performance and this will become more apparent as the show goes on. The star does so if she wishes. As for Najwa I saw it as 'it is the First Prime' which makes it in a sense a celebration so changing after every performance on the first or last prime is in order for me. I think people are focusing more on what I said about her changing rather than her mannerism. I agree with Jo that she was acting superior to the students and this became apparent when she was singing with Shahinez, it was like she was trying to out-sing her. Obviously these are things you as fans may not have seen but I picked up on. Thank you all so much for your comments once again.

i only caught the first performance, and she did well, bas the way she was with Hilda (i think thats her name) seemed WAY too stuck up. I remember when other students have come on the show before (joseph) they seemed to have so much fun and like they're "home" again, bas with her she seemed like she was looking down at the whole thing.

I have watched star academy 1,2,3,4 and now 5, almost every singer they brought had changed her outfits 3 times even some of the men too so why is it an issue now and a hot topic for discussion? because shatha did it too, so what. She is a star now and thats what stars do, they look good and they take good care of themsleves, she has an amazing voice and she wants to look amazing too, now some people might not like her or her looks which is ok because everybody have a diffrent taste but why the attack on her, i dont understand. Why dont we focus on the new students, their voices, mistakes, preformaces, who is good and who is bad, who will make it and who will not, instead of trashing shatha who was # 1 by far last year.

i agree with susu and lilly....It's not a big deal that she changed her clothes...... anyways she deserves to be able to change her clothes for every song, she is the "Star." Also, shatha dresses very modestly, doesn't show a lot of skin and her boobs aren't going to pop out of her outfit like some singers now a days...... Christy, BTW Shada Hassoun applied in Superstar 2 and she was eliminated from the begining of the program and she didn't reach any significant stage of the programme

1) shatha applied to superstar & was accepted by the commitee (fadiya called her "9aa7ibat al 9awt al ma5malee") but it was 2003 during the invasion of Iraq, people didnt vote & so others got more votes

2) shatha is the biggest success of the show & gave lbc starac fame & money that they have never dreamt of.. they DO wanna show her as a diva to say that she is OUR product

3) lbc signed artists don't get a saying in their outfits and many of their music choices :)

First, watch the other women stars at the StarAc (in primes or as guests); they all conform to some rules of the trade. Second, the stardom system has replaced the old-fashioned "very famous" status - thanks to the overall Americanization of the world. Diana Haddad won a singing contest when she was 17 and took her next 10 years to become very famous, and she could stay "down on earth;" Shada became a "star" in 4 months! Give her time to adjust, and she will (if you think she is getting carried away at the moment).

Shaza sounded fine, but I thought Shahinaz sounded better when they sang together. Some here make it sound like shaza is the best thing since sliced bread and that's laughable.

Chahinaz has a good voice, but lacks the stage presence & elegance.Plus, she made many mistakes with the songs...Shatha covered it up very smartly

For starters I would like to thank Nada, Samer and Jay for the kind invite to the USA in order to get my face broken. It is unfortunately obvious that some of you did NOT read the entire article. Therefore I will quote merely the last line 'But Shada has amazing talent so why doesn’t she tone the way she dresses down and rely on her outstanding vocal quality to get the attention of the audience.'! I am not attacking Shada or trying to be funny ,thanks again jay, I just did not like how over the top she was. How she was acting like a bit of a diva when she had only been a star for such a short period of time. I mean I agree with whoever it was that said she needed time to adjust. It is simple it is only because I do like Shada and her voice that I make these comments about her. You do not see me making comments about Haifa for example... why? Because I do not think she has a great voice but Shada DOES which is why I bother. I understand that Shada has some die hard fans out there but it is disappointing to see that some will go to the extent of threatening violence against someone due to them expressing their opinion. Stop looking after Shada, she has a great voice, she is classy since she was in the acaemy last year. Good for her that she has a nice body to show. At least she has both voice and look, not like most singer that we see now...

Nobody normal who's become a "star" in so short time can behave better than Shada (if we put aside the dress, etc.)! Whatever Karim likes or not (in splitting the hairs), and assuming the StarAc will last under the best circumstances about ten seasons, the best students ever will remain - Shada and Marwa!
