Egypt Fayyum Discovery

Egypt has always been a land of abundant culture and heritage and in it many scientists have made fascinating archeological discoveries. The latest of these discoveries was in Fayyum and the artifacts found may date back to 4,500 BC. Just seven kilometers from Fayyum Lake were the remains of an ancient city whose pots and pans will now be cherished in some of the world largest museums.

The supreme council of antiquities released a statement in which they stated that ‘remains of walls and houses in terracotta or dressed limestone as well as a large quantity of pottery and the foundations of ovens and grain stores.’ Obviously these findings are very significant and may tell us more about a civilization we knew very little about. The houses would have been by the lake when they were inhabited which comes to show that man has always known how to stay close to his needs.

An exciting discovery don’t you think?!
