I have been religiously following Star Academy 5 as I know many of you have too, and the question that is burning in the back of my mind is: is it any different? Obviously, like every year the décor of the Academy is different and there are several additions like the swimming pool. However, it seems to me like some of the contestants are trying to copy old contestants. For example, Shahinaz and Ahmed, the two Egyptian contestants, have formed what I call a ‘Sally- Kammah bond’ and they are working together to produce songs already.
In addition to this, Imene the Tunisian contestant seems to be very much like Marwa in my opinion, but whether this is on purpose is questionable. One of the biggest and most prominent differences this year though is that I would happily vouch that all the contestant have excellent voices, and although they need some work with training they will excel.
Are there any other strange similarities you have realized this year?

no waaaaaaaaaaaaaay ,,,,,sally and kamma7 were unique and wont be copied ,,,i think ahmed and shahinaz re dreamin',,,noway 2 compare btwen da 2 couples
4 of the boys have excellent voices.I saw them on the 2nd group of evaluation....Sally & Kammah have nothing, especially no voices
Shahinaz & Asmah are the best from the girls
However, they all try to copy the students from last year.
Anyway, there is not & will never be anyone like Shada
Yes, the fifth StarAc season will be different, in a way as much as the second season was different:.
All the students play all kinds of instruments, can sing in all languages, and - none has a voice! There is not a single exception, like the second season's Amani Souissi. A bunch of mediocrities! If you like the reality show, it will be OK, as any season is (as that can be produced with anyone). The StarAc depends on the available students, so, get ready for the VERY MEDIOCRE 5TH SEASON ...

I didnt feel that shahinaz and ahmed are imitating ammah and sally at alllll and if they are making songs then well! they are in a musical academy and they should lol
second i dont feel either that iman is playing the role of marwa bcz iman is so unique lol she s a lill crazy and hyper and this is not the style of marwa as well (btw i m starting to like iman since i like crazy ppl loool)
the one who is trying to imitate in my opinion is bashar wanna be named khaled even if he denied it but it is so clear he even dance in the same way!
anyways it s still too soon to see the whole picture so lets just want and see
1 thing that is different, are that the boys aren't getting along, and some of them are short-tempered and can't take critisicm, like Mohammed from Jordan.
Another thing that is different are that the girls are all getting along pretty well, and they all have some great personalities.
Oh and 1 last thing, that Khaled guy is trying to stir up troubles with every guy in the Academy. First he tries to fight with Zaher and now its Mohammed (Jordanian) and the guy from Syria (forgot his name).
