To "Cupcake:"

It is beyond my comprehension how anyone can miss some of the "professors:" Gabi, or Alissar, all the same. These two ugly hypocrites, who lick the boots of the LBS bosses so they stay on in the show, a nice comfy job, have no background in music, let alone in singing, yet, every week the public has to endure their annoying grotesquely made-up "explanations" of why they are nominating a student as one of the worst three! Anyone can see that the choice is not based on the comparative merit, but on something else - making the show more "exciting," therefore, profitable! Just review the last season and the votes of these two "profs." The stinking bastards!

I am sorry for using the harsh language which, naturally, prompts you to think this guy is biased and clamoring against someone because he did not like the vote of the teacher. I would like to retract from my harsh expressions. Look, if you can, somewhere, at the voting record, for the nominations, of all the "teachers" and you will see that the most inconzistent and sometimes even "wild" (= what nobody would expect) propositions come from these two (Gabi, and Alissar). If you listen to their eplenations about the choice (of the candidate for the dismissal), and you listen carefully to the arguments, you will see that they are just - empty! These two understend the singing at least as well as you and I (if not less), and you can understand easily their reasoning. Besides, it sounds artifical too, what leads you to believe that somebody else did selection for them. And who else but some LBC boss. What is outrageous is that sometimes they even flip-flop from week to week! For example: Ali was one week in the top-5, next week he was in the bottom-3. By the way, often I was not happy with selection of other competent teachers, but could accept their reasoning (Faudel, Rene, Mme Mary).
Personally, I did not have a favorite student, as you may think (= was no fan of anyone in particular); and almost all those I favoured, ten of them, did pretty well. Please, if you cannot go back to the season 5, listen to the teachers in the new season, and it will be clear to you how disgustingly fake some of them are. Cheers!
