A lot of people have been anticipating Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher’s appearance on the highly successful show ‘Taratata’. However, as is usually the case in the world of music a lot of controversy is beginning to arise regarding who will be presenting this show. It was planned for Halima Boland to present the show in which Kathem will be one of the guests but Kathem refused to appear on the show if Halima was presenting it. This came as a bit of a shock to everyone but what surprised me more was the fact that he gave no reason whatsoever for what has been described as ‘discrimination’.

Instead all Kathem said was that he wanted Nichan instead of Halima to present the show otherwise he wouldn’t do it. Halima has not commented on this incident but it has been predicted that when she does decide to speak out it won’t be pretty! Kathem has a reputation of being a very decent artist so sexism is out of the question but why does Kathem refuse to work with Halima Boland?
