Just when I as starting to have the ability to separate between the ones who can sing and those who just use their bodies to make the video clip work, another singer crosses over. By that I mean going from singer to seductress. The woman I am referring to is none other than Miriam Fares, her video clip ‘Makano Weyn’ which she sings in the dialect of the Gulf includes some extremely inappropriate and seductive scenes. Like every other socialite criticized of being too provocative Miriam claims that she in no way intended to be seductive and that the beat of the song required her to dance a certain way.
Miriam Fares Under Attack!
She added that she loves to dance and her flexible body aids her with her passion. What I don’t understand is why a woman with quite a beautiful voice Miriam would have to resort to using her sexuality to sell herself!
Many of Miriam’s fans are claiming that it was perhaps the director who forced her to do this or that she had to come out with something new to re attract her audiences. In her defense we all make mistakes and my respect for her will heighten if this one is not repeated.

Thank you Rohan for your encouraging comment but I refuse to believe that time can take away our decency as a human being. If taking off your clothes is modern then I prefer sticking to the donkey cart myself :)! And where did that Mercedes you speak off come from? Making seductive video clips with scenes which I personally find disgraceful?

I totally agree with u Karim. She's expozed herself wayyy too much in this video clip, in other words...shes crossed the line.
I really do hope that she isn't following in the steps of other singers (not to mention any names) and that i think shes just getting peer-pressure from all the other female singers in the arab world.

I watched the video clip and it wasn't nice watching it with my parents and young sisters around ... IT IS AN EROTIC CLIP!!! showing your back the way Miriam was showing it is no way dancing ... its well .. u know ... other thing!!!
I think you are all silly to think this way Myriam's video clip is no sexual in any way. It is a great video clip she is just using her dancing abilities int this video same as any other singer who can dance would. This video clip is one of the best video clips for 2007 it was ahuge success and that chose you! People who think about the video clip in weird ways like you guys are very old-fashioned and need to realize that with the years passing things are changing. I heard so many people calling in on shows saying so many great things about this video clip and they were some well known journalist and critics...and I htink they know what's good and what's not! Myriam Fares made a wonderful clip she expressed her ways by dancing which is totally fine and acceptable. She actually has talent unlike some other singers that try to dance in their video clips and end up looking like fools.
I really like Myriam Fares video clip. It shows that she is professional dancer and can sing well. I don't understand why she has to be attack ... Like it is the first time that an arab singer makes a video clip in that way...
I saw the video clip of Myriam Fares and I did not see anything wrong. If you have a dirty mind, you would see it dirty. I hope we were watching the same video clip.
i luv the clip.. i dont find their is something wrong with it.... u should really talk about haifa videos.. espically her last video when she was wearing the swimsuit. like seriously wat is she doing.. plus their are others singers that do worse in their clipss sooo i dont find their is anything wrong with the videoclip
I only watched the video clip recently and i enjoyed watching it. I agree with Sousou, if you have a dirty mind, you would see it dirty otherwise, you would simple enjoy it like many did.
