Its official: Star Academy Winner Shada Hassoun has been given a ‘Diplomatic Passport’ by Iraqi officials! A source stated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Iraq decreed that Shada’s new passport be finalized and sent to her through the Iraqi Embassy with all due haste. This is obviously a huge honor for Shada but what has outraged many Iraqi’s is that members of the Iraqi National Football team who recently won the ‘Asian’ cup were refused this honor!
So what does it mean to carry a diplomatic passport? It means that for some countries she will not require a Visa and will receive special treatment wherever she goes! To be very honest I do not see what Shada accomplished to receive this token! Yes, she was successful in the last season of Star Academy and yes she has a beautiful voice but she hasn’t done her country any service that deserves a diplomatic passport! Maybe it was the CNN segment on her that did the job! What do you think?

Waleg and I have nothing against Shada in fact I was rooting for her on the final prime believe it or not!
