With the end of 2007 only a few days away, it’s usually the time for polls!
Several polls have been conducted and the most recent being the ‘Al Arab’ poll that aims to find out who the ‘Star of 2007’ is! 17,000 votes later, Lebanese star Nancy Ajram was given the title after receiving 31% of the votes. In second place came another Lebanese star Wael Kfoury, he missed first place by a mere 157 votes! In third place was Amr Diab who received 15% of the votes and in fourth place was Elissa, whose new album has just recently been released.
It’s obvious that there will be some people who are unhappy about Nancy coming out on top. I personally feel there were some stars who I would have liked to see on the list of ‘Stars of 2007’ that weren’t there like Mohamed Hamaky for example.
Who do you feel deserves the title ‘Star of 2007’? And what do you think makes a star worthy of such a title?

i am glad to hear that haifa wehbe is not on the list.
While in the end we all know Amr Diab was, without a doubt, the star of 07. A smash album, one of the biggest concerts ever, and the most talked about celebrity of the year; and a WMA to go with that.
But of course, "Shakbat Shkabit" did better than El Lilady... "rolls eyes"

I agree that Amr Diab,Nancy Ajram,Wael Kfoury,Najwa Karam and Elissa should be in this list. I dont know in what order because they all did great this year. But there is Tamer Hosny whose songs ruled this summer!!! And also Mohamed Hamaky with his song "Ahla haga feeky"-it was everywhere this summer.

I agree with you You have good taste in music all those artists should be in the list but also Assi El Hellani and Asalah deserve to be in the top singers list for 2007!
I love all these singers except Amr Diab...no voice...he is horrible! He should not be on this list because he isn't a good singer. His latest album 'El Leila Di' was not nice...his older songs were much nicer! Now he has become influenced by the West and changed his music style. I think Asalah, Wael Kfoury, Tamer Hosny or Assi El Hellani deserve #1 spot and then Nancy Ajram. They are all great singers!

walahy haram 3leky...amr diab does not have a good voice...ok i also love tamer hosny & asala & helani and i believe they should be from the list...but amr diab = no good voice!!! la222 amr diab has mashallah a very nice voice and has experience with music...he's done it 4ever...i believe (my opinion)...it is after all our opinions and trust me i respect your opinion ya ghaliah
and the list was only a small amount of singers....lots of other singers were missing...tamer ashour...hamaki...fahmi...hosny...samy...helani..there's plenty
