After seeing Ghada Adel’s new movie ‘Khaleeg Na3ma’ (Na3ma Bay) it has become apparent that this highly anticipated movie is yet another copy! Those of you who have seen the 1991 hit ‘Sleeping with the Enemy’ will recognize that the plot, story and even some of the scenes from ‘Khaleeg Na3ma’ are exactly the same. The story of ‘Khaleeg Na3ma’ and ‘Sleeping with the Enemy’ is that of a woman who is abused by her husband and decides to escape only to fall in love with her dream man later on in the movie.
‘Sleeping with the Enemy’ stars Julia Roberts and the equivalent to her part is played by Ghada Adel in the Arabic version. Obviously opinions on this observation have varied- some say that the story holds an important message that should be available to both Western and Arabic audiences. Others see that this is yet another sign of the deterioration of Arabic cinema, in the past we used to be the leaders when it came to cinema but now we are so stuck for plots we have to copy them.

How is Ghada Adel the copycat? DId she right the script?
Plus, Egyptian cinema is currently in a VERY GOOD state. You should see the movies thar where released during Eid. Masterpieces IMO; Al Jazzera is easily one of the greatest films ever filmed, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that. The acting, the directing, the writing, and the music where all just perfect.
And the same goes for the other movies that where released.
And another thing that proves that the Egyptian cinema has improved from the 80-90's slump is that SHIKAMARA was the only comedy released during Eid. Unlike the usually 3-5 we easily get, that have no plot or story.
a3mel feek zay ma3malt feya ya masri...ehda...el hekaya mosh mestahla :P
Begad bahazar ma3ak
anywaysssss...3n el mowdo3...Ghada Adel...CopyCat...bgd it doesnt go together...like masri said...she didn't write the script...away from the 90's and that generation...the theme relates to life...when a theme relates to life you can't change it...its the way it is...and trust me...no two things are the same...whether it was the plot or the scenes...or whatever...i think you have the picture wrong...a film is a film with a moral to it...and all Ghada did was accept the movie contract...no more and no less...thats basically it...soooooo if someone was to be blamed for this...it is DEFINITLY NOT HER
and honestly...arabic cinema...deteriorates...no no no...thats definitly not true...i see that the increase in movies such as life, comedy, romance, all those genres...its definitly better and there is a great and wonderful positive change in arabic cinema...also, maybe arabic and english movie plots should not be combined because arabic is arabic and english is english
