Katia Harakeh was quite an interesting character when she was on Star Academy 2, she had a nice voice and was pretty easy on the eyes. However, when it came to Katia, people had quite strong feelings: some loved her and others muted the TV when she started singing. Well a few years after her debut on Star Academy Katia Harakeh finished filming the video clip for her new song ‘Kalbak men Warak’
The question is even though Rotana have adopted her, will Katia be able to go anywhere? It is arguable that her looks carried her career more than anything and so, are her looks enough to launch her into stardom? With Zizi Adel the contestant from the same year, she was adopted by Rotana and is now one of the biggest singers in Egypt but she had a voice like no one had ever heard. Ya she will make it! She already has her fans from star academy, and once people see this video they sure will fall in love, either for her looks, personality or singing (which has gotten much better). Look at Haifa Wehbe. A very prominent singer. Does she have a good voice? Not really, but everybody likes her...Now a days singers are still accepted even if they can't really sing, as long as they have a good personality and know how to work the stage. And why are we asking if Katia will make it? It is not like her voice is horrid...Its pretty decent...And it is obvious she is working on it, because I recently her that song and she sounds pretty good.... :-D
