Yet another show has blossomed on the very active LBC satellite channel.
Tonight, we got introduced to the World Bellydance championship.
What makes this contest unique, is that it's contestants are from all over the world and not only from the Arab world!
12 beautiful girls are going to show their stuff and compete for the title of World Bellydancing champion.
The girls come from Lebanon, Russia, Egypt, Syria, Morocco, Brazil, Ukrain, Costarica and France.
This is going to be a serious competition, where the girls are going to train for 8 weeks and perform in 9 primes.
The girls will be under supervision and will get scores from a strict jury, that consists of a few important names; Najwa fouad, Simon Asmar, Zaza Hassan and Nadra Assaf.

As for the contestants, the 1st six to perform tonight were: (we'll get introduced to the rest next week)
Estelle from Lebanon - i though her dancing was very moderate!
Malika from Russia - i liked her a lot, she's cute and so was her dancing.
Sandra from Syria - don't get me started!!!
Maria from Lebanon - she's good, but maybe a bit too nervous and rigid!
Siham from Morocco - I thought she was moderate too!
Laila from Ukraine - she's really good! I liked her a lot!
The rules state that one dancer is going to leave every prime night ... the unlucky contestant to cut short her stay is Siham from Morocco.

I liked the Russian and the Ukrainian more than anyone else, they were lovely and cute ...
I hated the Syrian dancer the most ... she looks like a ..... it seems LBC brought her from the street!!! :|

This is a pretty neat show... It gives a different spice to the other shows out there.... I liked the Costa Rican-Lebanese girl and the Russian and Ukranian girls, I felt they did the best! :-D Can't wait for the next episode! :-D

wtf...why speak in english WALEG??? thats messed up...a person should feel free to write w/e they feel...ohhh yea thats right u probably arent in america and dont know what the BILL OF RIGHTS are, and whats the FIRST AMENDMENT...looool...dont take this 2 the heart but i kinda believe a person should write what they want, appreciate and feel like ... ;)

Bellydancing is egyptian and only egyptian.. and.. this is unacceptable totally unacceptable to our culture..

Fantastic show. Just goes to show that this is an art pleasing to the eye and soul and it must all be arabic not hawiian or latin or jumping like a wabit on stage - only classical beautiful and Arabic style. Notice that the best dancers are not westernly skinny but just right for this kind of dance. I commend shows like this - Well Done!
I really love this show, especially Estelle, she is extremely good and has a beautiful smile! I adore her, I really want to dance like her.
And it's really good that the girls aren't all so slim, that would be the worst!
