I remember last year watching MBC’s ‘The Biggest Loser’ and thinking that although it was another imitation of an American program how beneficial it must’ve been for those contestants and the people at home. And so you would imagine how pleased I was to hear that MBC will be launching a second season of the show very soon. Even better news was that Carolina De Olivera will be returning to present the show again this season. For those of you who weren’t hooked last year this show basically has 14 contestants all with one problem: they are overweight.

The show provides them with everything they need to drop the pounds as two teams and at the end of each week they are weighed and the team with the lowest amount of weight lost has to eliminate a player who must leave the show. At the end of the season one person is crowned the ‘Biggest Loser’ and he or she wins 250,000 S.R! There is only one minor change this year which is that instead of calculating the number of kilograms lost they will calculate the percentage of weight lost.
