South Africa Gets Power Through Human and Animal Powered Vehicle

The Human and Animal Powered Vehicle

South Africa still has so many places that are not reached by electricity that is why some organizations are taking the initiatives to provide the innovations that will bring power even to the most far-flung areas of this part of the world. I can say that the concept of the organization Water and Wheel is quite ingenious. It’s solar power on a wheel! The Human and Animal Powered Vehicle (HAPV) as they call it, is made up of a donkey, cart and solar panel with 12-volt battery. This will definitely turn heads as it traverses across the roads in Africa.

And this is also very useful because it can readily produce power for a cell antenna, emergency lights, small neon tube and also a water filtration system. This ground-breaking HAPV or also called as HAPPY can be used as for income generation. Those who own a small business can make use of this for a kiosk or shop after dark.
