Many of us have heard the name Abdel Rahman Ibn-Khaldun slipped in a conversation here or there but hardly any of us know much about his background. Well a documentary has been made out of this great mans life and it aired in Tunis to celebrate the 600th anniversary of his death. Attending the screening of this great documentary were the actors who took part in it and the director.

This 90 minute documentary was received extremely well and people appreciated the tribute to this great man. The documentary concentrated a lot on his political ideas and life but didn’t concentrate on his contributions to philosophy and history. As to why these parts were not explored in the movie the director said that it was difficult to put everything into 90 minutes and so he chose what he felt were the main parts and concentrated on them.
