To many peoples disappointment, musician Helmi Bakr retired from composing for around five years. Instead he took on criticizing new, young people who attempt to sing and invade the scene and his critiques were very highly regarded. However, Helmi Bakr has decided to return by composing two songs for Nancy Ajram’s new album. Obviously Helmi was asked why he decided to return now and why Nancy Ajram and he replied that he was a huge fan of Nancy’s voice.

He says that her loving voice penetrated the hearts and souls of a lot of people. Helmi also took the opportunity to clarify that the rumors about him refusing to work with the younger artists were untrue and that him working with Nancy is further proof of this. As you may be aware Helmi Bakr worked with some of the biggest names in Arab music such as Nadia Mustafa and his works are too numerous and great to put on paper.
