It is not often that we find a series that captures every single viewer, starting from little children to the elderly people, but it seems that ‘Bab El Hara 2’ has somehow managed to do this. It's a fact that when ‘Bab El Hara 2’ is on, most of the streets around the Arab world are empty and there's somewhat of a deadly silent about! Haven't you noticed that?!
I personally, with the rest of my family, run to the television room after Iftar to catch the episode from it's very beginning, we can't miss the song! The song is so worth hearing! I love it, the words are fantabulous and i like the tune. Don't you?
Photos from Bab Al Hara 1 and 2
Even children watch this series and relate to the younger characters and even play a game where each takes on the role of each child in the ‘Hara’. What is more astonishing than the faithful viewers is how ‘Bab El Hara’ has affected the culture and social habits! People are now greeting each other with ‘Salam Ageed’, a popular greeting in the series, and are even beginning to see themselves in all of the characters.
Don't you love how manly the Ageed is? or how hyper-active Mutaz is always?
Don't you feel like smacking the mother of Lutfieh in the face most of the time? I sure do!
It has been a while since a series has been so effective and successful and is really a joy to watch.

OMG I ABSOLUTELEY LOVE BAB EL HERA AND THE SONG IS SOOOO GOOD U CANT MISS IT CAN U WALEG...LOL I LOVE IT AND THE RANDOM SCREAMS AT THE BACKGROUND IN THE MUSLSAL HAHA
I DEFFINETLY HAVE BAB EL HERA FEVER
It's a boring and weird show if you ask me. Another way of Syria trying to make shows like Layaly el Helmia, Zezinya, and many other old and perfect Egyptian shows. I've tried watching it, it's just well...bad. And that's MY opinion, so there is no need for anyone to say anything uncesseray. I'm pretty sure I did not insult anyone in this post....
Anyways I used to watch HOOR EL EIN, that was a good syrian show. Other than that, I've never, and probably never will watch antoher Syrian show. I just prefer the Egyptian ones. Which is STILL the Hollywood of the Middle East, and we still produce great shows every year.
Thats your opinion MASRI because you are MASRI and you should be proud of your country's work :)
However, my opinion is that Syrian series are no.1 these last 2 years and the examples you mentioned like Layaly el Helmia, Zezinya and totally something else ... those 2 series in addition to several ones from that gold times are top series that can be watched over and over again :)
This year my top are Bah Al Hara which is a fantastic series and King Farook which i want to congratulate Egyptian writer Dr. Lamis Gaber and Syrian director Hatem Ali who i really admire for all his work especially Muluk Altawef which was a GREAT TV Series.
Well, I wont deny Bab el Hara has been getting the some of the top views, but I don't think that one series can eliminate many of the great works Egypt produced for over 30 years. And yes, Hatem Ali is a great director. Malek Farouq is probably the best directed series this year. And Lamis Gaber, who I bealive is Yehya El Fakhrani's wife did a great job of getting all the specfic information. 15 years of reasearch, wow. As I said, we are all intitled to our own opinions :)
MASRI! KEEP UR BORING, WEIRD AND BAD OPINIONS TO YOURSELF...WHY ARE YOU EVEN COMMENTING ON BAB AL HARA ...
U NEED TO BE TRUE TO YOURSELF BY ACCEPTING THE FACT THAT YOU REALLY LOVE SYRIAN SHOWS AND CAN'T STAND THAT SYRIA IS AND HAS BEEN PRODUCING BETTER SHOWS THAN EGYPT FOR MANY YEARS NOW...ANYWAYS, I'M SURE I DIDN'T INSULT YOU WITH MY OPINION... :{
bab alhara is the bestttt
abu esam 2!
Bab El Hara is the best show ever! I think Syrian shows have always been the best! This is the most popular show during Ramadan. I hope they have Bab El Hara 3 next Ramadan. Lutfieh's mom is crazy and such a rude mother. I feel bad for Abou Essam, they are all ignoring him...how sad! I love this show so much and the theme song is amazing, I like the words...I have the song on my Ipod! Bab El Hara is the best!
hey masri im a lebanese girl i love egyptian shows a lot but last year and this year the best best best show is bab al 7ara we all arab people in GERMANY watch it.. and dont say the egpytian shows are the best ur right but not this year and we ALLL ARAB
NADO, I understand that Bab El Hara has been the top viewed show the last few years.
But All I'm saying is that we can't erase a great history of the greatest shows ever made, because of one show. Egypt's cinema is over 100 years, and we've been making shows for over 40 years.
Anyways, thats YOUR opinion, and atleast you said it without having to sound so uneducated (ehm...NOTMASRI)
Plus, can someone tell me what the show is actually about. :)
MASRI, I ONLY REPEATED WHAT YOU ORIGINALLY WROTE AND I'M GLAD YOU SEE THAT YOUR WORDS AND YOU SOUND SO UNEDUCATED...YOU TALK BAD ABOUT THE SHOW AND YET YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S ABOUT....I'M NOT GOING TO SUGAR COAT MY OPINION OR SAY IT AS IF YOU WERE A CHILD ...WIPE AWAY YOUR TEARS AND GROW UP AND TRULY ACCEPT OTHER PEOPLES OPINIONS, YOUR OPINION IS RUDE AND REALLY CHILDISH...anyways thats MY opinion and at least I said it direct to someone who may not be that educated :{
Before last year the best show in ramadan was layali el salhiye. but last year and this year its beb el hara 1&2!!!!! yayyy i wana know wats gonna happen at the end but i heard theers gna be a part 3, which i dont want to happen! I want it to finsih this year, cant stand waiting for next ramadan again :( .
loll i love metaz as well, espacially wen he hit abu bader and abu ghalib lmao i literrally started laughing :)
Just hope letfiye doesnt get bak to 3issam, hate her mum!!
anywaysssssss just droped by to leave my complementssssssss.
could sum1 plz post a link for the theme song of bab el hara?
i was searchin the net for it and only found the 'ya rab' one.
thanks
masri u must be tripin who the hell doesnt like bab el hara thats all i watch on tv i love the song so much.
"I talk bad about the show"
Is that even English? No seriously, you need to have bigger vocabulary. I guess I was not wrong when I said you where uneducated. You obviously have trouble accepting other people opinions. You like the show, I don't. Do I have to like it because you do, NO!
You can even compare a 5 part masterpiece --Leily el Helmiya- to Bab el Hara. I did not say the show is "bad", I just said that it's just not up to the potiential of other masterpieces produced decades before it.
Correction:
You *CAN'T compare a 5 part masterpiece..........
waleg are the pic posted with abou issam and his daughters season 1 pic and the one he is in jail
i hate their accent but i love this show..if it masri it would be great show cause sooori is worst night mare act and their accent..
i think bab al har 2 is better, and i hate akeed he;s very bossy around..
akeed muush akeed
yes H.A.R. it would be cool you to slap Lutfieh not his mother. SO if you want me to teach you how to knock his face with the construction building rock i will love to teach you, and to be proud of yourself..
please akeed is not manly actually he's girly acting.../
masri ur da one that has bad vocabulary just be quiet and yes udo have to like it if i like it so shut up ight
Ghadeer, I wasn't directing my comment to you. It was to NOTMASRI. Sorry for not making it clear. :)
AHMAD:if you dont like the accent then DONT WATCH IT and stop relating syrian shows to egyptian shows. There both great and its not which one is better just this year syrian shows hit better then egyptian shows but it doesent mean that egyptian shows are ugly who knows next year maybe egyptian shows are better.(This goes to MASRI)
MASRI...WOW!!! YOU HAVE A VERY SMALL MIND...GET OVER THE LAST SHOW YOU LOVED...ITS ALL ABOUT BAB AL HARA NOW!!!
AHMED, YOU'RE RIDICULOUS...DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND ARABIC??? CUZ IF YOU DID U WOULD LOVE THE ACCENT!!!
MASRI, I'M SURE UR LOVING THE ATTENTION!!! I DON'T NEED TO READ ANYMORE REMARKS FROM YOU AND AHMED FOR THAT MATTER.
I hope these uneducated words make you happy, NotMasri. But because we Egyptians have class -unlike other people- we won't answer with another swearing, that's for low people.
I love this show i love the ageed and moutaz .I love the song so much. And ahmad if u hate their accent just don't watch it.And Masri u don't know the show and u r talking about it and saying that it is bad u have such a small mind.
hi everybody i want to say that bab alhara is the most beautiful series ever and alwayes syrian series are the best ; otherwise the egyptain series are beautiful like kadiyat ra2y 3am and donai but sorry not all and not every time this is my owne opinion thx and keep watching it its amazing truly
Bab el 7ara is an awesome show! I admit that I barely watched Part 1 but Part 2 really did catch my attention! My favorite charactor is Mo3taz, he has such a great personality! And his actions are so cute and manly! =D
Ahmed,
when you state that you hate "their accent," you are indirectly making fun of the Syrian accent. There is no need to be harsh and denounce the Syrian accent. It's pretty insulting.
I think you have to be Syrian to fully appreciate Bab al-hara. Most of the conversations include Old Syrian words and proverbs. It's very entertaining. And the acting is amazingly superb. I don't feel like I'm watching actors. Instead, I feel I'm part of the hara. Abbas al-nouri has done an exceptional job portraying his character.
The only egyptian show that I'm watching this Ramadan is King farouq, mainly because of Hatem Ali and Taym hasan.
to Masri
jealousy speaks aloud
lool
i think bab el hara is a great show!! really , i even watch more than kaleeji series, its great, anywayz we r all arabz and we should support each other not criticize each other, if u dont like the show, its your problem!! dont try to enforce your opinion on other people and make them look bad, we all know Egypt has good drama amd makes the best series and movies , no one said anything about it!! so chill out, but its not alwayz about egypt , its can be about ohter countries too, like khaleej or syria , or lebanon. anywayz dont enforce your opinion.
Bab Al7ara has to be the most amazing soap that there is... I sure do have Bab Al7ara fever; and the song? I have it on my iPod and have it set as my ringtone on my mobile! HAHA! It really is fantastic and addictive.. Ma3taz leaves me in stitches from laughing and Dalal and Ibrahim make me cry! I love the Syrian accent and have resulted to asking my friends 'shoo sar' and 'shubak' and 'shu badeek' when I am an Iraqi! Anyway, the Syrians did an excellent job and I really wish for Bab Al7ara 3!!!!
Juju, can you plz tell me where to find the song?
well it can be boring sometimes..but atleast they know how to entertain...unlike some other arabian shows.
Oh, look everybody!
MASRI is gonna teach us how to speak english...
3ala Akher e-zaman wa7id masri iz makin fun of the syrian accent plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz give me a BIG FAT BREAK.........i am not from egypt or syria but i will choose the syrian accent over egyptian accent ANY GIVEN DAY
u dont mess with BAB AL 7ARA ...
n ahmed just roll ur tongue n swallow it
MASRI, I'M SURE YOU'RE READING ALL OF THE REMARKS ABOVE AND I'M GLAD TO HEAR I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THERE TALKING ABOUT....
AHMED IS OFFICIALLY DUMB WITH MASRI BEING EVEN DUMBER...
BAB AL HARA ANY DAY!!!!!
How come all channels have 3-5 Egyptians show, and like 1 syrian? Oh ya, we can't entertain people....
We've been entertaining people for over 100 years, Masr om el donia.
It's really sad what people are saying and doing about little show... sad.
Not masri
I already beat two guys today!
don’t get out my nerve I will shake you from the ceiling and to the floor until u say sorry.
So what if I said I don’t like soori accent that doesn’t mean I hate soori nass.
And I said I like this show s my fav../
Not masri is crap chicken
Masri,
there are at least four syrian shows. I can list them for you:
Bab al-hara
Al hafet al-hawya
Seqr Quraish
Khalid bin al-walid 2
No one is disputing that Egyptian drama has been dominating the Arab TV for some time. However, there is no reason for other countries to participate and produce great shows. Syria has demonstrated to be very capable of producing excellent shows in the past couple of years. I mean the historical Syrian shows have been superb on all levels. And let's say competition is good for everyone. Egyptians need competition. Not only do I want to watch Syrian and Egyptian series, but I'm looking forward to watching Jordanian, Tunisian, Moroccan, Yemeni, and Iraqi shows. I think when you have shows from different cultures, we can better understand each other and learn from our traditions. It's definitely a learning experience. For instance, Bab al-hara is very educational because it demonstrates the Syrian culture and traditions.
Although I don't like to get into pity conversations about which is a better country, I'm pretty bothered by your statement that " masr is omm ul-donya." Why do we have to always feel superior? I believe every Arab country is equal, and each one is filled with so much history and civilization. Damascus is the oldest city in the world, and it's filled with rich culture.
Anyhow, I hope to see more shows from different countries and hopefully it will become a perfect competition industry.
Audrey, you are very smart. I like the way you think! I agree with you, I am the same I enjoy all shows and I like to watch shows from all around the Arab World because it teaches us about their traditions and ways.
I love Bab El Hara and I am not Syrian, I am Jordanian...I watch Khaleeji, Masri, Jordanian, Syrian, Lebanese and many other shows. It's nice to watch Syrian shows...I think they are the most interesting shows to watch, I love the accent so much but also there are great Egyptian shows, Egypt has a great history of successful shows, musicians and so on, same as other countries. I think the Arab World should all accept each other and unite as one. We are all equal nobody is better than the other.
Masri, if you dont like bab alhara why are you sittin here commenting it, if u dont like it then keep your opinions to yourself. Just go comment one of your egyption series. i'm not saying i dont like them i watch whatever is on tv but bab alhara is the best and i have to admit the egyptian series do get boring sometimes because i think that the stories are the same most of the time, thats my opinion.
Peace!!!
AHMED YOUR TOO MUCH....
TWO WORDS...."GROW UP"
THE QUESTION IS WHO HAS BAB AL HARA FEVER? IT'S A SIMPLE YES OR NO QUESTION...DON'T MAKE IT HARDER THAN IT IS.
ITS OKAY IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE SHOW JUST DON'T TALK BAD ABOUT THE SHOW AND THE ACCENT(HINT HINT....MASRI) IF YOU LIKE ANOTHER COUNTRYS' SHOW THAN STICK TO WATCHING THOSE SHOWS(AHM...MASRI), NO NEED TO DISRESPECT THE SHOW AND THE COUNTRY AND THE ACCENT...
Thanks Ghaliyah! I'm glad we share the same opinion on this matter. And I'm glad you are enjoying Bab al-hara!!!!
take care,
audrey
wow, i cant believe every1 is fighting!! come on you guyz, we are all arabz , and we should stick togather, bab el hara is a great show, and we know that egypt has a great drama series and makes great movies, i like bab el hara and am not even from syria, am rom kuwait, anywayz , chill out, every1 got their own opinion!
ok ok time for me to say something.
MASRI your talking about the PAST, were talking about the PRESENT!!!
If beb el hara wasnt so nice, and people were loving it, it woudn't of been on 4 channels this year( Qatr, Syria, Mbc and Art). And thats only the channels i know of since i live in australia.
If i was to talk about the egyptian series i see on tv nowadays, (which in my opinion are boring) their all about drugs and rape of some sort. they cant come up with new stories. ofcorse the egyptian series of "sarah" i loved but still thats only 1. So you know what instead of just sticking to egyptian movies just coz your egyptian, try watching movies from other countrys as well.
Beri, you can download the song to the show from MBC.net in the Bab AlHara section where there is a picture of a mobile phone and you should right click it and select 'save target as'
Hope I helped!
By the way, in reaction to the whole 'MASR vs. SOORIYA' fight: I am not Soori or Masri, so I am not biased- I am an Iraqi.. I see syrian soaps 24/7 on arabic channels this Ramadan, the only masri ones are from last year.. The only Masri soaps I have watched are Malik Farouq and Hadayatal Shaytan and only because of Taym Hassan and Jamal Slayman- who are both Syrian. Jamal Slayman recently said 'Egypt is the Hollywood of the Middle East' I think that it WAS; now it is Syria!
With all due respect to the Masris- they produce excellent talent too, but Syria are beating them at their own game.
Anyway, I am really looking forward to Sulaf Fawakharji's soap next Ramadan with her playing Asmahan Al-Atrash, the Kurdish Syria singer who moved to Egypt. I am looking forward to finding out whether it will be Syrian or Egyptian- personally I would love to see a mix between the two!
Seriously though, after Taghriba Falatiniya, BAB AL HARA IS THE BEST.. By the way, has anybody seen Taghriba Falatiniya, and what did you think?
omggg their s going to be part 3..can u believe im happy but at the same not.. cuz i wnat to see wats going to happen
OMG i cant wait until next year to see what happens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
masri evrybody likes what he likes to see if its egyptian or syrian!we are al 1oema harabiea and we need to be proud!if its a syrian show or egyptian schow!!!let me tel you this time and by that i meen this ramadaan its a syrian showe that is number one in the arab world!and it is bab el hara2 and thats becaus most moslim people like the old way of r arab live and most persons see themselves in the characters you see!and yea egyptian shows r great to!i am a syrian and you need to understand its normal that wee need to be proud of r shows to!so masri and notmasri if you r 2moslims this ramadaan dont hate be friends!sorry for my bad engl.i do my best!.....anutchi
Great post, anutchi.
But I'm pretty sure I did not say anything unapporpiate about syria, untill NotMasri began all his/her uncessary talk. BUT as you say we are all arabs, so I really did not mean any disrespect to Syria, or it's people. I tried saying my opinion about a show, and many people acted weirdly, which I do understand.
So lets just put this behind our backs....
How many days 'till Eid? :) Seriously, I'm excited...:)
THANK YOU EVERYONE....I'M GLAD WE WERE ABLE TO HELP MASRI REALIZE WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT....MASRI YOU WOULDN'T OF KNOWN THAT YOUR WORDS WERE INAPPROPRIATE UNTIL SOMEONE TOLD YOU...I'M GLAD NOW YOU UNDERSTAND WHY YOUR OPINION WAS OUT OF PLACE AND YOU DID SAY IT IN A WEIRD WAY...MY OPINION ; )
In my opinion both Syrian and Egyptian tv shows are excellent...but honestly I think the Syrians have been dominating recently and I will tell you why. Egyptian tv shows have become so repetitive and nearly all of them have to do with a rich girl falling in love with a poor guy or a man having 4 wives etc....honestly I dont see any meaning behind egyptian tv shows anymore as opposed to the syrian ones that have tackled many problems in our society and in our nation. Whether it was AIDS(3asr al jonoon), terrorism(7or el 3ein), old culture values and morals(so many to name), great arab historical figures(Salah Al Din, Khalid Ibn Walid, Ukhwat al turab, zaher baibars etc..), or the respons to the danish cartoons that made fun of prophet Muhamad(Saqf el 3alam) and there is always a deep meaning behind all the Syrian tv shows as opposed to just normal entertainment. Also I think that Syrian actors are much more qualified than Egyptian ones these days because most of them can speak all arab accents and can adapt to them whether it is egyptian( such as Jamal Sleiman and Taym Hassan which I think can talk egyptian as good as anyone else), Khaleeji(examples such as Mazen al natoor and many others that have acted in khaleeji mousalsalat), Badawi ( almost all of them and the latest of them is Seba Mubarak from Nimr Ibn 3edwan), Jordanian, lebanese and even Palestinian(Taghriba el Phalastiniya, 3a2ed ila 7eifa, etc...). Also the Syrians produce not just amazing drama but also equally as good comedy and historical tv shows!! When it comes to these 2, Syrians have no competition at all. Egypt barely produces any comedy or history at all and when they do it is probably directed by Syrians(such as malek farou2). This brings me to my next point which is about Directors. Syrian directors work with almost all nations and have directed many tv shows in egypt, jordan and other countries. Hatem Ali is one example as well as the daughter of Hisham Sherbatjy(awlad al leil). After all that being said..we are all arabs and we should act that way. There should be no difference between us and Eid Mubarak to everyone.
Okay I won't comment on your whole post, their just a little part I kind don't agree with you in. Just remember that this is just a normal disscusion...
I disagree with you saying that the Syrian actor's are more qualified than Egyptians.
I list to you some Egyptian TV actors:
Mohammad Sobhy - No one really knows the value of this actor. He can do almost any character and do it very well, in other words, he's a guiness actor.
Mohamod Abdel Aziz - Another great actor, Rafaat el Hagan, Mohamoad el Masri where all masterpieces.
Yehia El Fakhrani- Another actor who'll play almost any role, and do it perfect. GREAT sense of humor too.
Salah el Sa3dani- Self explantory.
Nour el Sheriff- One of the best actors ever if you ask me,,,
and many many more....
As for the variety of shows, Egypt already produced ALOT of historic shows, in the past 20 years. We always had a huge number of historic shows that where made in the 80's and 90's. That's why our historic shows have declined, seeing how we've made all or most of these stories before. As for the comedy then we've got ALOT.
Yehia el Fakrani's Yetraba fe 3ezo.
Mohammad Sobhy's Ragol Ghany Faker Gedan
Tawfik AbelHamid's Nafiza 3ala el 3alam
And if we are going to be talking about old culture series, then Egypt has produced hundereds of these shows.
Layaly El Hemliya (5 parts)
El Masrweya (Currenly in part one, but is expected to be in 6 parts)
Zezinya
And many others....
I guess that's enough writing.
And this is just respone to what you wrote, and it's my opinion. So not everyone here has to agree with it...
So no need to start a bigger discussion and dispute....
As you said we are ALL arabs.:)
Okay Masri, we get that Egypt HAD good actors and musalsals... Syrians are taking over NOW.
Buy the way you forgot to mention ADEL IMAM! Probably the greatest comedian of all time!
But really, egyptian soaps are all the same these days- mostly with rich falling in love with poor, falling in love with secretaries, a guy with 4 wives (Hajji Btweli)! etc... it's no wonder Syrians are becoming so popular!
Anyway, there's BAB AL HARA 3!!!! so it's obviously popular!
Really It's a great show
I love bab el hara and the song is the best thing and I HAVE to watch ti everyday!
Thanks for your reply Masri and as you said it is just a normal discussion and everyone has different opinions. I respect your opinion and im sure you do the same for mine. I dont deny that all the egyptian actors that you mentioned are great and can do their roles very well but as I said before, I think being able to act in more than just one accent is what distinguishes syrian actors and gives them the edge. You saw how Jamal Sleiman was able to take the leading role in more than one egyptian tv show and he did an amazing job with everyone in the arab world's Shahadah(testimony if that makes any sense in this sentence hehe). Forget about the egyptian accent..but you almost see syrian actors/actresses in all differently produced shows by different countries and you will not be able to tell the difference between them and the real natives of the country/town. I will not name great Syrian actors/actresses and list them because they are too many to name just like their Egyptian counterparts. And you did mention a couple of Egyptian comedies..I did not say that you guys dont produce comedies at all..and im sorry for saying barely..but honestly in my opinion I think that the Syrians definately have the upper edge when it comes to comedy and they excel at that. There are many Syrian comedies that just dominated and attracted huge crowds from all over the arab world such as Maraya(20+ years), Bouk3et daw2(which is probably the most hilarious I have ever seen in my life and is made up of 5 parts), Yomiyat Moudir 3am( I shall not say more..), Hana2 wi Jamil, 3elet khams njoom( there was also 6,7,8), and soooo many more. As for historical shows, I am not aware of any Egyptian ones mayybe because I wasnt born or I was young in those days but whatever the case is, Syria definately is the powerhouse now when it comes to that with several historic mousalsalat being produced about nearly every era in arab history. I think the main reason for that is because in my opinion the Syrians are stronger when it comes to the fus7a dialect. Please dont get offended and as we said it is a normal discussion my friend :) and we are all no matter where we are from.
Syrians are -without competition- the best when it comes to historic series. There isn't even a competition there. For some reason, Egypt doesn't produce them in the same quality.
I think we've seen a huge improvement in the Egyptian series this year, there are new stories, and ideas thrown out that where never used before. Such as, Qadyet Ra 3am, and El Daly, which has a very different tone and story than the usual shows. Hamada 3ezo (yetraba fe 3ezo) is a comedy, but also contains a couple of messages to the parents out their, who always treat their kids like their babies. The guys 60 and he's having a birthday party!!
As for the Syrian actors, I agree with you when you say they can talk most languages well. I thought Taym Hassan was Egyptian before searching him up! The guy must have watched alot of old Egyptian movies to have a perfect accent like that ! :) As for Jamall Suliemen, he was good too, but had some Syrian ways of talking come up --probably my accident-- in Hadayek el Shaytan. He is after all, not Egyptian.
But when it comes to acting abilities, I would give edge to some of the Egyptian actors, atleast respecting some of the career's these actor's have had.
Thanks Danny, for actually having a regular debate, instead of everyone saying weird stuff.
BUT now let me answer the official question of this whole article.
Do I have Bab El Hara fever?
NO.
Does that mean the show is bad? No. I'm just not interested in watching. Maybe sometime, someday I will, but not now. I'm enjoyed Yetraba fe 3ezo this Ramadan, and nothing else. Well.....and Malek Farouk....and Qadyet Rai 3am.
I just want to say thank you to Danny and Masri for actually having a respectful and civilized conversation. I'm glad that we can voice our opinions without attacking each other and denouncing our various cultures.
take care everyone and happy eid,
audrey
ps.if you haven't heard yet, there is a bab al-hara 3. It will be a trilogy. exciting!!!
3ala rassi Masri and Audrey :) Each person has a different opinion and that is what differes us from each other. Im glad we had this discussion and the best of luck for both Syrian and Egyptian tv shows. By the way Audrey is that your real name? I was just wondering because I never thought an Audrey would watch arabic tv :) Im kidding but im just curious. Take care everyone and eid mubarak.
hahah! funny you ask Danny. Audrey is my middle name, and Dania is my first name. I go by both. And yes, I watch arabic tv..thats how I learned my arabic. Bab al-hara is definitely increasing my Syrian Lexicon.

i have bab elhara fever..as i liked to hear the nice old words as KOURAN french word for COURANT which is the ELECTRICITY and they called the cooker BABOUR KAZZ and SALAT PLATE is called SAHN SHINKO,such nice words which we dont use in our days are realy made me living of nice atmosphere of the real SHAAM country on its reality of honest and nobelity.

lol thnx juju yes 3issam is the horniest man ever in this serie he even likes the facts that his ex wife will return to him lol have u seen it god damn funny when his dad was wonderin lookin at him
well guys i think in part threee abu shihab will marry one of these two ladies : the wife of abu samir el himsani or yes Ferial becuz she is the the niece of za3im i guess there willl be trouble between lotfia and huda and the other things that will happens i guess all around themes of english colonization to syria don't u agreeee guys ? juju u agree ????
Hahaha!!! 3issam is so funny! Now there will be even more horny scenes!
Yes I agree these things will happen but I think there may be a new 3ageed and I am hoping for Ma3taz! I cannot imagine Abu Shahab marrying Ferial!!! I'm looking forward to seeing the grand children of Abu 3issam though and whether Dalal and Ibrahim really will get married, oh and whether Khater gets married! And of course, Ma3taz and Khareeya.. the last episode was soooo cute!!! ABU 3issam and Suad are getting back 2gether!!! YAY!

This is the best I have ever seen from Arab Drama. Many of my freinds were waching it. We all are lecturers in UK Universities and we are proud to say that Bab Alhara is funtastic. Not only the Syrian drama, but also the songs are great. Samer Al Misri and All are great. Thank you and keep up the good job. Dr Mohamed

ok huda i ll send it for you
oui j suis algerienne d'alger et toi
hello everybody and especially syrians and algerians.thank god we still have men like abou chheb and mo3tez in the arab world but unfortunately they are a minority.yet i m very enthusiastic for the coming generation because they are learning from such serials(hey i m only 20 years old).as far as i'm concerned, all tunisian youngsters are so influenced by the fantastic"beb elhara" that they started imitating aboo chheb's way of walking and aboo 3issem's generosity and mainly his way of thinking.by the way i do respect all who send messages because you really know what to watch,it's a good sign as well.
