It isn’t unusual for Star Academy to receive a hefty amount of criticism from people because of the fact that males and females live together etc, however, some of the arrangements this year may lead to quite an uprising. Rola Saad ,the Executive Producer and the woman behind Star Academy, has decided to install a swimming pool into the Academy this year for the 5th season of the show. Rola says that the contestants go through a lot of stress and a swimming pool is a great way to have them release this stress in a productive way.
Rola also added four cameras around the swimming pool to follow the students as they swim at the Academy pool. As you can understand most people aren’t happy about the fact that these young adults will be wearing swim suits and jumping into pools together on TV for everyone to see. It’s controversial and difficult to judge whether this show will make it this season or if like the Arabic Big Brother it will be forced off the air. How do you feel about this new change?

I propose a public swimming pool in Baghdad too so that the civilians can release their stresses.
There should be a new 2a3lan 4 criminals: before u commit the crime, go 4 a swim 2 clear your mind. And then maybe we can consider putting pools in prisons too.
lbc is treating the audience like a joke. Everyone knows that sex sells & lbc has decided 2 take the cheap route one step further. Can't believe they managed 2 get a fifth series all coz of hormonal loud mouthed behaviour.
you konw when me and my family watch the programme we were saying i wish they have a bigger compound and other facilities like a swimming pool, and tennis corurt. i think she read our minds. good job now they don't have to coop up.
I dont think its true because she knows she could lose a big audience around the middle east who maybe are a little more conservative.
I myself see nothing wrong with it though, I mean everyone goes to the beach and swims in front of hundreds if not thousands of people so I dont see what the difference is. I can only speak from a European point of view though so i am not one to say what should or should not be done on Arabic television.
But if she wants the show to be sucesseful among the more traditional or modest people then she may not want to do that.
thank you sam , and let me tell you what will happen ,first a great amont of people will be watching it just for the sake of th e swiming pool thing , later the islamics in Kuwait and Saudi espacially will do a great effort to close airing it by controling the telecommunication services. This time they will do some thing i hope!!
this story is true caz i saw it on other sites before waleg posted it so yeh but anyways i reckon its a good idea but then if girls dont wear swim suits they will have to wear shorts and shirts which will differ from the others and others may find it weird especially on national tv.... knowing everyone now wears wat eva they dont care about their religion

It would have been better if she would add an outhouse..maybe they can sing in it too, since the smell will compliment their style of music..

There's nothing abnormal about a swimming pool.

IF you don't want to see them in swimming suits,then simply DON'T WATCH THE SHOW!
There are million other people who watch it.So nothing bothers!
P.S.I don't think that they'll be in the swimming pool all the time!
