Recently when I was visiting Egypt I couldn’t help but notice the numerous Pepsi adverts with ‘Bahr El Nujoom’ all over them and I had no idea what they were for! Well it seems Pepsi is producing a movie titled ‘Bahr El Nujoom’ which will star the famous ‘Nujoom Pepsi’ which include Carole Samaha and Hayfa. Good news is this project is very much underway as Carole Samaha began shooting her scenes from the movie this Monday. I for one do not know the actually story of the movie but with the sheer number of loved and famous singers in it I am sure it will do great.

However, I cannot help but ask : has making a movie become just as easy as making a video clip? I mean recently anyone with money can discover themselves and go out and produce a video clip where they sing and some of them make it big. It seems that now movies are going through the same mutation, however, if this mutation leads to a corruption of Arabic Cinema then this corrupted image will reach the entire world!

Whoever is interested to know the story of this movie, please keep reading. The story takes place in Alexandria in Egypt where a man who works in concerts business loses all his business in a way and becomes poor. After the death of this man, his son decides to start all over again and works hard to refresh his father's work. The son decides to make a big concert and he asks all the stars that you see in Pepsi ads to come and sing in the concert.
Moreover, i have come to learn that the script will be written in the English language in USA and then will be translated into Arabic language. And the director of this movie will be a foreigner. i think he ll be the one who did Carole's Pepsi ad "the tango ad".

Ya3ni as opposed to the great moral stances taken by producers during the last decade or so in regards to movie making.
The Arabic cinema has been corrupted for a long time whether concerning scripts, casts or locations. I thought anyone who can produce a movie is doing so already!!!
