Simon Asmar is known as the discoverer of many Lebanese artists but this year and directly after Eid he is coming to us with a brave and original new program. Simon’s program is in the form of a reality show but instead of participants anticipating to be singers they will be belly dancers. Girls from all over the world will come together to compete against each other on who can perform this fine art the best and will be subjected to criticism by a highly experienced judging panel.
The judges include Nagwa Fouad, Fifi Abdou and Samara, and they will be watching these girls perform the art that they have become a central part of. Simon adds that belly dancing has always been a highly appreciated art but there is a huge lack in professional and competent belly dancers on the scene but this show should facilitate the finding of the next big belly dancer!

whats next, the most beautiful naked Arab girl ... chosen live on TV!!
Cupcake, its not that big of a deal... You're taking it too far....I honestly think its a cute idea, at least it's a program that is original and made by an Arab (i.e Star Academy, and Superstar).... And for the most part, belly dancing is Arabs' folklore dance... :D
i dont kno how successful the show will be especially since a belly dancer is not a respectable profession in arab society
Directly after eid kaman...ya far7etna. We're looking 4 the next hizo ya wist rather than potential inventors, sportsmen or people with beneficial crafts. Sho3oob bayza. Environmental awareness issues will never reach our nations at this rate. People will only watch it 2 see how many times Nagwa Fou2ad can manage a facial expression other than 'Who put the iron on my face!?!' and 2 be amused by il sheikha fifi...
i will tel something i heard from the respectfull and famoous actor (mohamad sobhi), in an iinterview he said: all the world beleived that the muslims and arabs are terrorist and even arab we beleived that, and to change the idea in front of the occidental world, we doo now every thing cheap to give them a beatifull image about arabe and he said : baqina maskhara 3achan niqolohom, bosso ezay dahna maskhara moch irhabiyin khaliss, bosso zay dahna hozo2 khaliss )
wa charo albaliyati mayodhik! ayna haya2o albanat? what folklor you are talking about? dabka is folklor i agreeee , sa3id musik is folklor i agree, but bellydancing??? where is the folklor about it? cheking hips almost naked?
loooool
i will wait for people comments who will vote for the girls how they will encourage them :D
"i will vote for this girl because 3andaha hazet west gamda" lool or "that girl from... rocks her way of moving her a$$ is so professional unlike the other candidates"
w everyone will be professional f haz el 7ezam
shee2 yhez fe3lan
no body will be like Samia gamal the bellydancer beautiful woman...they wished to be like her.
Nagwa Fouad, Fifi Abdou and Samara are fats and nastiness in the Arab with not cute belly.
so sad......
can i totally thank cupcake, masreya, sam, shery and bambusha for their comments... i totally agree with like everything u said...
but ahem... u know us arabs will be all over it... i seriously think most arabs have lost their culture... an the few left with it could leave us any day... arabs living outside of arab countries have a closer connection and understanding of their culture than ppl living there... i wouldn't be shocked if by the time this generation are grandparents we lose our culture completely...
its horrible but true....
this is a ridiculous idea but just like perfect bride a lot of people will watch.
i can back up what eman said in that arabs living away from their country know and respect their culture more than those who are their. i am living in australia and in our community of around 400 people most of them have lost their culture and have no idea about it but i personally mix with about 30 families who are still attached to lebnon and have a close connection with our culture. when i go to lebanon my cousins who have lived their whole lives there do not know of all our customs and traditions i know of.
merci dunya! u know exactly what im talking about...
speaking of perfect bride... wth was that all about?? i never understood it... how did i work?
What about, the next big belly? Sounds more fun to watch...
lol... i would go for a comedy ANY DAY
It's Arabs living outside the real Arab world that gives the rest a bad name - while the rest of the world moved on, they decided to run away to some Western country and start worshipping their hypocrite ideals.
