Recently Emeriti singer Hussein Al-Jasmy sang a patriotic and beautiful song about the Kingdom of Bahrain. King Hamad Al Khalifa, the ruler of Bahrain, was very flattered by the song and invited Hussein to his castle in order to honor and thank him for this gesture. During the meeting King Hamad expressed his thanks for Hussein not just for the song but for helping improve and spread Gulf music all around the world.

Hussein was obviously honored and flattered by the invite and says he will never forget the moment where he sat next to the King of Bahrain. Hussein also thanked the King for his appreciation for music and his ongoing support for real artists that give Gulf music a good name. I think it is the first time that the King of Bahrain has actually recognized a musician in this way but hopefully this will open the door for many more recognitions from other rulers.
