Those of you who have seen the repeating ads for Ramadan series on MBC will have seen the trailer for ‘Sultan El Gharam’ which includes dancer and singer Lucy. Lucy plays the character of Badreya, the wife of a pauper who works hard to provide for his family but fails to do so and as a result, Lucy finds herself selling vegetables on the street to help him out. However, after she does her best to help him he manages to acquire some money and so he leaves her and marries another woman which devastates Lucy’s character.

According to Lucy the scene where her husband confronts her about his infidelity was the hardest and she ended up breaking down completely even after the scene was done. Lucy also said that she remained depressed for several days after shooting this scene that affected her so deeply. Many are questioning Lucy’s ability to do this series and say that she is better at moving her hips than acting. Whether this is true or not will be revealed in a few days.
