Nearly all Egyptian residents will have heard of radio presenter Osama Moneer also known as the ‘Midnight presenter’ well he is suing the producers of ‘Amr W Salmah’ which stars Tamer Hosny. Those who have seen the movie will have realized that Osama’s voice is used in the movie and his name even appears in the credits, however, according to Osama he did not give permission for his voice to be used and so he is suing the producers for 2 million E.P. Osama’s voice seems to be a fad this Summer as his voice appeared in Adel Emam’s ‘Morgan Ahmed Morgan’ and Ahmed Helmy’s ‘Keda Reda’.
Osama claims that his appearance in both those movies was pre decided and he received his fee but Mohamed El Sobky the producer of ‘Amr W Salmah’ never even approached him to ask permission. ‘Amr W Salmah’ has witnessed several problems and several court cases and whilst some claim that people are just jealous of the movies success other believe the producers took the wrong route in the making of the movie.

Hell if someone used my voice without permission I'd sue too. Then again I don't work in radio...
i don't understand why anyone would be jealous of this film in particular? i mean that there were other successful films that didn't face so many problems or court cases so the reason is not related to jealousy.
The reason of the success of this film is tamer's popularity that motivated his lovers to see the film, but about the story of the film, it was not that good.
osama moneer has the right to sue, also using his voice wasnt required as the film had no story at all.
