Young Egyptian actress Randa El Behry has quite frankly claimed that she is terrified of the new role which she plays in the movie ‘Khaleyk Fe Halak’. The reason of her fear is the fact that her part is a comic one and she acknowledges that comedy is the hardest form of acting and that it has never been her favourite. Randa says that she memorised the script very well and is now following the precise instructions of the director Ayman Makram to ensure that she can pull this part off.
Randa plays Ahmed Eid’s fiancée who loves him very much regardless of the several obstacles that stand in the way of their love.
This story got me thinking: for an actor to deserve to represent the Arab cinematic world they should be complete which means being able to do all forms of drama. However, it seems that these days less and less competent actors are somehow slithering their way into movies whilst not really having the skills or experience to be on the big screen!
