One of the most practised and historical sports in the Arab and Islamic world is horse riding and now those horse riding enthusiasts have a new channel named ‘Khail’ devoted to horses. The channel is owned by Bandar Al Abd El Salam and is the first Saudi Arabian channel that presents information about all kinds and breeds of horses. The point behind this station is to publicise this sport further and increase its popularity especially that many of the Arab worlds greatest leaders were very passionate about horse riding.

‘Khail’ will also be airing every major horse riding competition that occurs all over the world which is sure to increase the numbers of viewers drastically. Reactions to this channel have been mixed because whilst some think having a channel devoted to horses is a waste of money, space and time others think it’s a great way to publicise an excellent sport that is linked quite directly to Arab culture.
