The last days of August were busy & successful for Haifa Wehbe.
On the 27th, Haifa arrived in Malaysia on her 1st ever Asian tour. She was received at the airport by a huge delegation & hundreds of her fans.
Next day, Haifa held a press conference at the Times Square hotel, where scores of journalists from around the world were present.
After the conference was over, Haifa headed to one of the biggest malls in Malaysia, Marriott Mall, to meet her fans & maybe do a little shopping!

As for the 29th of August, Haifa was on a date with her fans & the King of Malaysia himself! She held a concert at Crown Plaza, with a huge attendance from the Malaysian people & a few politicians & business men.

Haifa saluted the King & his wife & revealed her happiness & excitement for being able to perform in front of the King.
Haifa's dress was much talked about after the concert. It's truly a stunning dress designed by the famous Lebanese designer Zuhair Mrad from his 2008 collection!
After the concert, Haifa donated a huge some of money to a charity organization that helpd orphaned children.

What do you mean 2008 collection. Haifa wore that dress in 2005 during her performance on elwadi when she sang the closing song Herbana!!!

She looked pretty. I didnt know there were that many arabs in Malaysia.

Haifa is popular with all races and ethnic groups around the world, not just with Arabs. Malaysia is a delightful country with stable government and well-educated citizens. All major international stars perform in Malaysia, and now Haifa has made more friends and admirers.

She looks pretty, but who would actually wanna pay money to watch her just walk around on stage. She can't sing live!

All ethnic groups do NOT know about her. 85% of the people here in the United States don't know her at all. Arabs only know her, and she went to sing for her ARAB fans in Malaysia. Just like she is in Australia singing for her ARAB fans there.

Her skin glows because of the 10 pounds of make up she is wearing, and the lightening.

HAIFA LOOKS LIKE A BEAUTY QUEEN ,SHE IS PERFECT AND BY THE WAY HER VOICE IS GETTING BETTER COZ SHE IS WORKIN ON IT,AND AS FOR HER SKIN IS GLOWING NOT EVEN ALL THE MAKE UP IN THE WORLD WILL MAKE U LOOK PRETTY IF YOU DONT HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR IT SO !!! EVERYBODY JUST RELAX AND STOP BEING SO JEALOUS OF HER.HAIFA IS THE QUEEN OF THE HEARTS NOW AND 4EVER

I agree with HIBA. There is no way your skin would look that good without the potential. I am sure she gets plenty of peels and facials & fillers though. Elissa's skin also looks good, but she is not as pretty as Haifa.

I wonder if she will ever get married again.
She is coming to the States. Lena is correct. She is unknown over here. Tickets start at $150. I would love to see her & Ragheb Alama. I hope she puts on a good show. We will see.

I was one of the lucky Malaysian who had the opportunity to actually attend both Haifa's shows in Kuala Lumpur and i must say BRAVO to HAIFA!

When my friends and i heard that she was coming, we couldn't believe our ears cos' so many Arab artistes have said they were coming but never did n now the megastar herself ... never we thought.

But Haifa did and not only she made us happy that not only we finally got to see an Arab artiste `live' on stage but her performances were overall (despite a few glitches here and there which were forgivable) FANTASTIC! She's a truly an icon for girls' power - confident, gorgeous and courageous!!!

Haifa's performances was part of a festival called Ziryab International Music & Arts Festival organized by Regal Production & Entertainment Sdn Bhd together with Tourism Malaysia which was held in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and Malaysia's 50th Anniversary of Independence celebrations.

Both shows (charity gala show and concert) went very well and the Malaysian crowd that came in droves to see her, though not understanding a single word of the Arabic songs she sang, were not disappointed and in fact, couldn't get enough of her, men or women!!!!

Nevertheless, need to correct afew things in the above article re her Malaysian shows:
* she had a press conference at HOTEL ISTANA (not Berjaya Hotel) which, yes, was very well attended by media all over the world
* Haifa was nearly mobbed by the HUGE CROWD that heard she was going to be at the shopping mall to meet her fans and this shopping mall is called BERJAYA TIMES SQUARE, not Marriot Mall.
* The donation that was given at the end of her show was from the organizer, RPE to BAKASA (an NGO) to aid BAKASA to complete an orphanage in one of the states in Malaysia, Pahang.

Overall, i must say Haifa's performance gave one big impact ... it successfully closed Ziryab Festival this year with a grand bang.

From what my friends and i witnessed, Haifa have more than just her beauty to successfully captured our Malaysians' hearts ... it was her well-grounded on-stage skills, her poise and the way she carries herself coupled with her good mastery of the English language and her delightful and enchanting way of interacting with the equally enraptured Malaysian crowd that sets her above the rest .... well done Haifa ... we love to have u back!!!!

LMAO at Haifa's voice is getting better. Majority of her shows she Lip-syncs, and the ones that aren't she sounds HORRIBLE. Taratta program with Ragheb, when they sang together she sounded BAD, and you can tell by the look on her face she sounded bad! So she started dancing around and let him sing.

I went to her show in Egypt in July and she sounded BAD again, and she just walked back and forth on stage, and there weren't that many people there 275 I think was the count.

It don't matter how many lessons you can give a person. You can either SING or you CANT there is no middle ground there. You cant teach yourself to sing because if you could EVERYONE would be singers. Especially after being in the business for 5 years now. Her album sales stink, nobody goes to her shows to hear her sing. They go to look at her, and how many more years does she have left in that being that she is 37 and will be 38 in March. She already has wrinkles under her eyes, and the sides of her eyes (i know i seen her up close)

AND her skin glows because she has a TAN, and the MAKE UP and the LIGHTENING CREW. Its a combination of the three. I know because I MODEL.

Lena,

I agree, she cannot sing at all. She may be aware of it & not care. She is making millions because people love to watch her, similar to Britney Spears, Dana Halabi etc...

She isn't in the same league as Najwa, Nancy A, etc...but for some reason people love to watch her, myself included. It depends on the mood. If you want to listen to a beautiful voice, she is not the one. If you want to dance & just have fun her music will work. I have seen so many other Arab singers that are not as beautiful as her, even though they have probably had the same procedures as her. I see Haifa as an entertainer, just like all the reality shows I am addicted to. Simple entertainment, nothing more. I don't take her seriously at all.

Haifa said most people were malaysian that watched her, she is famous there and they have heard of her so they decided to watch her and in australia while she was singing the victory of the leb army happened and she announced it and she got a lebanese flag and sang dabke to represent Lebanon. btw her lips are definitely real, u can see in her before pix they were big just looked bigger with the lipstick and her cheeks dont really look fake, her nose is so small they stand out i guess, but she's deff done somethin to her eyebrows, nose and boobs

The only person who may look look fake but can really sing her ass off is Mariah Carey.
