Facebook is a cool international community where friends can meet and catch up ... Where people from all walks of life can get to know each other and make friends ... but what happens when religious issues pop up?
It's ok, as long as each keeps his/her limits ... respects all religions and all beliefs ... but when people start insulting each other and coming up with groups targeting a certain religion, that's when it all crosses the red line!
It becomes a bigger problem when this happens on one of the fastest growing social networking websites like Facebook!
One person came up with the 'genius' idea of creating a new group on Facebook called "F*** Islam" ... how do the administrators allow such a group?
It's true; there are certain freedoms, but they end where other's freedom begins!
They end when they start insulting millions of people all over the globe.
If you want to hate Islam, or Christianity or Judaism, do it in the privacy of your own living room! Not on a public space like Facebook!
Now, a new group and petition has popped up asking the admins of Facebook to shut down the above mentioned group. I think they have every right to ask for it to be deleted!
People have already threatened to leave Facebook if an end isn't put to that group by September...
Where will such behaviors lead to? Any action will have a reaction ... Shouldn't people be acting a bit more civilized and more responsible?

Who cares. It is a freedom. Read some of the groups that are anti-USA or anti-Israel made by Muslims.

these movements you are talking about are against certain countries, a reaction of what is happening .. etc ... they are NOT anti Christianity or Judaism ... YOU need to read more!
No one can touch Islam, that's my opinion.
The perfect example really is after sept 11th in the USA when more people than ever b4 criticized Islam, then became curious about Islam, then learnt what Islam is, and then took the shahada 2 announce their Islam. I think that's a miracle that only Islam can make happen. Hindu's & Sikhs have converted, rabbi's & Jews have converted, nuns have converted, priests have converted, singers have converted, athletes have converted, scientists have converted, doctors have converted, people that lived lives of crime or poverty have converted, students convert, I heard of a former German Nazi that converted & a former American member of the kkk and members of the vatican & politicians in the usa & lords in london & it goes on & on. It's magic, usually they r better than us who r raised with Islam.
The only people that can misrepresent Islam are Muslims & the only people that can glorify Islam r muslims.
But essentially no one on this planet can touch Islam. When people make silly groups like that it's only coz they find Islam a threat, think of it as more publicity 4 Islam, u can't teach logic 2 the ignorant. But anyway rabinah yehdeehom w yehdeena gami3an.
i didn't see that; even i don't know that facebook!! but in my own opinion, let them do what they want since it's just couple of word said by haqidin or something like that and they think it's freedom ok!lets them do it!and i think that the most importante thing we must do as muslim is to neglect them totally and start build our own civilisation NOW "sience, technologies, history, poetry," evry kind of sience , we must learn and do something civilized in that time NOw (not talking about bohtori and ibn sina etc ) we must be brilliant now to answer those crazy poeple not by insults but by fact. that's my opinion, the arabic proverb say: alqafila tassir wa alkilabo tanbah. don't pay attention to the dogs but continue your target.

Ok...its a simple fact that will explain this whole article about facebook. The FOUNDER and OWNER of this site is JEWISH FROM ISRAEL. His name is: Mark Zuckerberg. He is making millions and millions of dollars by us being a part of this website, and for what? For them to insult a holy religion like Islam. What a shame on them and us for supoprting it!!! (I had an account myself, but canceled it when I researched who is behind this site. This is why its very important for us to know everything about anything we are involved in.)
Who cares what these kuffar do. Soon enough the West will collapse, just as the Soviet Union did. The US is already 68% in debt in terms of GDP (9 trillion out of 13 trillion), they are wasting their money in iraq and afghanistan, not to mention their own bitter divisions between R and D. its pretty clear to the world that the US is a declining empire and that Europe will be Islamic in a couple of decades.

First of all, why do you all care about this group!! I mean, there are more than 1000000000 group on facebook about different subjects and against a lot of thoughts and religions.
Trust me, making a big fuss of it makes the owner of that group HAPPY!.. Don't make a big deal about it just because your taking everything the group says personal and you get offended..! Even if you disagree don't join the group and don't even fire back!
I mean some Muslims are joining the group and swearing and saying very bad things about the owner, and believe me I thought the owner of the group is much more respectful than those people that are swearing to close this group! You know better than that!

Religion has no place in public life, its a personal believe system that is not susceptible to reasoning. Therefore it belongs not in the community, but in your private homes. If people want to use derogatory terms to qualify religion, then that is their good right. As any religious person also has the right to condemn us unbelievers to hell.
That is freedom of speech. 'Atheists and heathens will burn' if you have your way, but while they are alive they'll tell you how simplistic and silly your believes are.
Don't put your religion out in public because it is bound to be criticised. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. You can't have it both ways.

Tell me what is so "logical" about any religion? They're fairy stories, fables and anecdotes riddled with inconsistencies and hypocrisies – and not one, whether Islam, Christianity, Buddhism or whatever, stands up to any kind of historical, scientific or philosophical scrutiny.
You have to have "faith" because reason destroys every pillar of your belief.

Concerning these groups, it's anyone's right to criticize, but calling a religion bad names is not anywhere close to civilized.
However, if someone decided to do it.. it's up to him/her. Don't give him/her extra attention as this might make them feel important. God will punish them afterall.

I just saw a similar group like that on facebook, and angred me beyond, for disrepecting Islam without exatly even knowing what it is about, and I actually added it to my groups only to leave a comment explaining how talking about something without enough knowledge shows how unopenminded a person is, and also explained about many other things as well as other people and happily the people making the group said they finally decided to delete the group!
I mean things like that bother me alot for how disrespectful and little-minded and yet more ignorant people can be. However, for people with no balance and understandings of situations should be ignored. these kind of people are nonsense, and are only humilating themselves, yet although it certainly does somewhat anger me!!

long time i didn't come but i got attracted to the topic...it is our fault...we don't know how to show ISLAM to the world..they believe what they see on tv..you know if those people are back to more than 1000 years ago....they will never dare to say a word..bcos during then Muslims were the scientists , cultured and the most civilised in that time with a great maniors..that is how islam reached the north till russia and the south till africa...by the great maniors we had...
