The Arab music industry has not mastered the videoclip & never will coz it's always about the same old boring cheap subject: Fake love; boy/girl, looking attractive, and no one can dance properly except to be disgustingly sexual as in Ruby/Haifa. We have even turned Beauty into something it's not.
At least Nancy did something for kids so it's better than nothing and she didn't disguise her songs with horrific undertones of male lust like Haifa. She has the good sense to be a bit more pure once in a while.
And one more thing please enough of the singing to nations or to nationalities it's soo boring it makes my brain swell up with despair. Let's petition a no more songs about countries.
I would really be curious to see a vote of peoples choices of 'best Arab video'. I'm gonna have to go for the obvious with 3abdel 7aleem's 'Do2o il shamasy' coz it was the first time we saw sooo many vibrant colours as well as seeing 3abdel 7aleem smiling in his poorly condition.

I have to agree that today's Arab artists are curtailing the quality of Arabic music. Some artists like Hayfa Wehbe, Dominique Hourani,Dana, Sofia Al Marikh, Jad Chaouiri and others are giving a bad vision of what Arab music really is.
Besides those "artists" are immitating Western singers and their way of making videoclips. If an American artist for example make a song, eventually scarcely dressed in the videoclip, a few weeks later you will see an arab artist doing the same moves. So those vulgar Arab artist are just copy pasting those few untalented American singers.
I really do not know what people see in Jad Chaouiri or Hayfa. I personnaly think they should
quit singing and surch another job. Lyrics are also a problem in Arab music bussines. Where are all those poets who write such wonderful songs?
Why do we always have to hear songs like Bous el Wawa and love songs. Their are millions of subjects that artists can sing about= Nature, Religion, Society, War, Racism. Why always love?

Can't talk much about Ruby because I still barely know her songs and clips (nothing scandalous though), but I saw almost any clip from Haifa, lots of bits from her live performances and a number of her TV appearances, and she is CLASSY and provocative, not vulgar or anything else like that.
