After negotiations that lasted for months Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe has signed a contract with Good News Production Company for a new movie which she will star in! The movie which is titled ‘Lelat Al Baby Dol’ was actually written by the late scenarist Abdel Hay Adeeb. Haifa will be working alongside some very well known artists such as Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Nour El Sherief and Moahmoud El Gendy some of whom have a very fruitful history in the cinema industry.

According to the producer and director Ehab Radhi the writer Abdel Hay insisted before his death that this part be given to Haifa and even though the negotiations were not going well he urged them to continue.

The movie carries political but comic themes and speaks of the Arab world after the incidents of 11th September and the entire movie is set on New Years Eve. Although the movies budget is said to be more than 25 million E.P and is supposed to be filmed in several Arab and European cities many artists refused to be part of it because of the name. Many have described the name ‘Lelat Al Baby Dol’ as ‘inappropriate’ and have said it carries certain unwanted innuendos.
