It is a harsh and painful reality, if one perhaps that is swept under the carpet; ordinary Arab girls are being exploited not only by men equipped with recording devices but also by their own will as they parade in front of cameras without a care in the world. These girls neglect to think about consequences of being recorded; namely where their shameful antics will end up.
It is difficult to understand why a girl would allow herself to be filmed in compromising positions, at times wearing very little. The sheer quantity of internet videos with ‘Arab girl content’ is shocking. Their actions lack sensuality; in fact many subjects resemble mating baboons with their dance techniques…
Not wishing to relate this to the corrupt celebrity videos that have demeaned sex; but this type of video has received such hysteria and propaganda that it is almost impossible to divorce the idea that everyday girls are under an influence to stand in front of a camera and be sexual; failing dismally to be sexy.
Perhaps it is the men filming these grotesque videos who sweet talk girls out of their minds. The Arab video clip clearly has a negative effect on society, but it is not wise to lay blame on it when we can not even measure the extent of its power. Are parents to blame? Or does blame solely lie with those appearing in the video footage?
It is too easy to say that females are expressing themselves after hungering for a warped idea of freedom. However when particular websites display countless videos of ‘Arab girls shaking their bateekh’ or ‘Hot Arabic girl belly-dance in g-string’, then one has to acknowledge a real problem brewing in the circles that youths create for themselves.
Not wanting to stereotype but there’s a real sense that females fail to understand the power of the internet, and the power of the camera. Imagine the extent of power when these two technologies merge and transmit globally to billions. Why is it always the case that a man does the filming whilst a female is displayed as the object? Why are men the ones to keep the footage? Why is it mostly men uploading clips? Have integrated mobile camera phones made being filmed acceptable?
I urge all ladies not to agree to being filmed privately by men. The camera means proof and the internet means global transmission. Once you are recorded; you are recorded for life and from the moment the footage is ‘uploaded’ absolutely anyone is a witness to your foolishness. By switching on personal webcams to other chatters, you allow for those chatters to see you as well as record you from their screen. Don’t be fooled into thinking that your control over webcam guarantees privacy. Act responsibly if you are unwillingly filmed or if you use webcam!

I agree with every word I believe girls and women must be warned because they do not take such things seriously, they do it for fun believing that nothing will happen whereas exploiters keep these moments as a lifetime threatening.

It is not just one person's fault it is the fault of the society that plants false images of a woman, the fault of the parents who do not give their girls the space and do not teach their girls and their boys the meaning of respecting themselves as well as respecting others. It is the fault of the girls who don't count for the consequences and it is the fault of the sick minded exploiter.
Ahmed is confusing blame with cause and effect. While these girls can be blamed for their dress and behaviour which may explain why they are targeted, that itself does not justify the act of rape. It is further victimizing the victim, and not delving into the real causes why these men commit such a demeaning and destructive crime.

Needless to say that I agree with you. some of these girls are quite young too, and apparently according to them they are displaying the normal behaviour of healthy and sexually liberated women.
