Tonight’s prime had a mixture of feelings of bad and good. Tonight’s guest was Star Academy previous student Ahmed el Sherif, who sang a number of his hit songs. One of the highlights of his visits was that he has fallen in love, and it has been for a long time but he did not say whom.
The first reportage was regarding Fatima, to why she left and what happened. The reportage showed how she was ill and her admitting to hospital, alongside what happened at the house. Najid said he is certain (“akeed”) of marrying her.
Then the big bust up between Mouayed and Fateema was shown, Mouayed claims Fateema’s decision regarding the voting was “tanaketh” and there were many events Fateema did like this. Kholoud said regarding the event, honesty is much better than lying and it is better for the couple.
Despite the upsetting moments and the disagreement with Fateema and Mouayed, this did not stop Fateema from becoming a bride. She found the hairstyle, make up and the dress, but she lost a chance of a relationship. Hopefully, she finds a new person who she can continue her life with successfully.
Mouayed wished her luck and that there are not any bad feelings.

The boys protected this week Gabi and Aya; this meant that Fateema had to leave the show.
The big conflict between Avril and Kholoud was highlighted. Avril said she will not forgive Kholoud because of her son’s examination and she does not want to stress him even more. Kholoud is very happy even if she is disliked.
The questions this week from housemates to other housemates were a mixture. Wassim asked Taunt Rawda if her exaggeration and severe anger when she was nominated was used to deter other girls from nominating her. Kholoud asked Bassel what would happen if Pati’s decision conflicts Avril’s, Bassel said his mum comes first. Pousy asked Aymen regarding the self-abuse he did and was it correct to do such thing. Mouayed asked Taunt Kholoud the difference between control and belonging (“moulek”). There were other questions as well from the housemates to the others.
There is never a relationship when it’s perfect, so we can accept little downfalls from any relationship, like Pat Pout and Basselito. The next reportage showed Pati upset, while some romance between the two.
Following that, the conflicts never seem to end. The argument regarding work and the future between Avril and Gabi was put in a special reportage. Avril and Gabi are now speaking and the problem has been resolved. Kholoud said in her response to this little conflict, she said that she does not mind if Wassim goes to Tunis for Aya, as long its best for him.
This week, the girls did the tuff challenge as well as the boys.
For the girls, they had to do some rock climbing, in which Aya won. And for the boys, they did a car race, in which Aymen won.
Aya of course invited Wassim and Wassim asked to invite Pati and Bassel. Aymen won a diamond ring (the same as Aya’s) for Gabi. Gabi was shook, and she was confused, she didn’t want it to be an engagement ring. But Roula (the presenter) said it’s a promise ring. In Gabi’s response to this gift was that it would remind her of Aymen’s moan ness (ne3).
For Pati and Bassel, they didn’t won anything, but will have fish this week. Pati asked for the most difficult to clean fish so the boys can suffer cleaning it.
The prize for perfect Bride is a satisfactory, this is what it includes:
- $100,000 money
- From DTC Diamond set worth $35,000
- From Special K, a trip to Thailand for health centres (spa’s and so on).
The prizes sound good, but being nominated doesn’t sound good. Here is whom the girls nominated.
Lina nominated Aymen.

Gabi nominated Najid.
Aya nominated Bassel.
Pousy nominated Mouayed.
All the boys are nominated; this is the last time for the boys to be nominated by the girls and for being voted by the audience. Next week the girls will be nominated. On the last week, the audience have to vote for the Perfect Bride, which are the four finalist girls. At the last week of the programme, there will four girls, four boys and four mums. My advice is to save your money up for the final week!

Cause there were more questions the housemates asked but i tried to minimise it as much as possible. Cause i didn't remember word for word what bassel said cause i didn't catch up to write it on my notes, but u are right. Cause i tried to remember and i thought he said something about his mum like sort of shecomes first sort of thing, or like as u said cause ur correct. And the one thing i won't forget is the bad look pati gave, i was very into that after bassel finished what he said. But u r right. I stopped for a while thinking about pati's look then i totally forgot about bassel, and i knew he was taling about his mum. Sorry about the mistake.

I came to the conclusion that Khalood is a straight out liar with a big L! I can't believe she has the audacity to actually think we(audience) are dumb enough to believe her lies. If you guys watched the links from the mothers' SMS, you would clearly detect her lies. For instance, she received a message asking her why she has told Patty that Avaril doesn't like her...Khalood denied that she has said anything to that effect, and she repeatedly stated that she's not that stupid to talk about Avaril when there are numerous cameras around. I again was dumbfounded, but yet again, it's khalood and we shouldn't expect anything less from her. I'm 100 percent positive that she sat down with patty and Gabby and told patty taht Avaril doesn't like her.
I just wish that during the prime they would expose her and show her endless lies!!!!!!!! She's a crook! I have no respect for her, and I am beginning to dislike her immensely as each day passes by.

i have seen this show since the day mousad left so i don't know if there were any other guys but i don't like any of the guys. they don't have a class whatsoever ... may be bassle a little bit better. when he is critisized again and agian he took it very well without exploding like the others would have, i like that. and i am almost sure non of the girls will marry any of the boys but they will be married to somebody else with in a year or so

When Avril made the comment about the strangers, she was directly speaking about the strangers in the refugee camp who have been attacking the Lebanese army. The reason she said that, was the sms was sent from Tripoli, which is in North Lebanon and very close to the refugee camp. So please make sure you know what you are talking about before you make these statements. Avril loves the Gulf and the Khaleej as much if not more than she loves Lebanon. Please pay attention not only to the messages, but who the senders are; it would explain a lot. Obviously the woman does not think this way, so no need to make her out into something she isn't just because you are unaware of geo-political issues. Ciao!

Of course Mme. Rola is not doing this business for "charity" as you call it. We all live in capitalistic societies and the free market is encouraged in all Arab countries. No one is forcing people to vote and pay for each vote; people do so because they're impassioned enough about a favorite candidate, and they feel strongly enough to pay the $1 per vote. And yes, she is providing an amazing forum for young and talented Arabs to be exposed to the world and is giving them the only chance they would ever have to be seen on tv; it's basically the chance of a life time for many of them. How else would we have known the awesome Ahmed El Cherif, or the incredible Shaza and stunning Marwa, the genius of M7ammad 2amma7, and all the other Starac talents that we've been fortunate to see and hear over the past 4 years.
It pains me to read all this hostility against Lebanese, whether it's programming, candidates, the studio audience or otherwise. We as Arabs should all be proud of the amazing programs and shows that are offered to us whether through Lebanese channels or other Arab channels. We should be encouraging the entreperneurial spirit and the creativity and effort put forth for all our collective enjoyment.
So, please cut out the negative rhetoric about Mme. We should all be rational in our judgment rather then biased to candidates of our country of origin. Accordingly, we ought to define our perfect couple according to the definition of a perfect Marriage. A Perfect Marriage is a relationship between two mature individuals and their families. It is based on respect, mutual understanding, trust, love, chemistry and the ability to compromise. Now, if we apply this to the couples, we will find that the definition best applies to Patty & Bassel. Gabby and Ayman need to work on their mutual understanding and their relationships with their families and the idea of compromising. Ayah & Wassiem have to work on almost every item. Ayah is more into the idea of marriage then Bassel. Their relationship lacks trust and this was obvious in many situations,
Finally, I would like to add that both Mme Khloud and Possy could win a prize as the most provocative people in the show. Adding to it their new definition of the word “Sari7a”(straight-forward) and “Qawiya” (have a strong personality) to mean being rude, discourteous, bad mannered, offensive and disrespectful. As a person of Egyptian origin I think Possy is the worst example of an educated Egyptian girl. God she is so vulgar, needs to learn how to act and dress like a lady, gets crazy when she sees food, and need to lose weight.

In watching the moms' sms night, I was struck by something Kholood said in response to a fan's message, something about her "thousands" of fans (2oloof) and I realized again what a huge ego this woman has. It's really all about her; she's definitely not in this for her son.
And can she answer any sms message in 10 words or less??? Good Grief!!! Each of her responses was like a paragraph. I guess she has a lot to say, being as she calls herself 7keemeh, zakiyeh, Qawieh, and Saree7ah. I'm sure I left out a few.

What I adore about Tante Avril is she isn't trying to get all the viewers on her side, like Kholoud! If people hate her she honestly doesn't care and doesn't talk to anyone about it! She's there for her son, otherwise she wouldnt' have come. Like Kholoud she wanted to come and wants the viewers to love her! She always talks to the girls about the mean SMS messages she gets! My theory is if you keep bringing up a certain topic (like i don't like so-and-so and u say it every 5 seconds it means u do like so-and-so)! I know some don't like kholod but you should know there are other who adore here, nothing of what said above change my or others mind? so I think we should respect each other opinion and not try to change it? we all see the same show, and watch them most of our time. We have different personality and that why we have different opinion. It has nothing to do with nationality. I am from original from lebanon, I like kholod and mona and I dont like avril. And I dont see khold as low class or vurgal as other said. even vurgal each has different way of expalining it, the most important I can see that she is well educated and that is clear to many.
From what I read above and from watching this program almost all the day, I can confirm that Kholod was not trying to make patty against avril, she was telling her, that avril should be more open and tell her everything. And by the way khold was not the only one who was saying that, gabi is the one who started it and kholod agreed with her, it was a topic that all was sharing, but people is saying kholold becasue they dont like her as I said above, and that is fine.
I see many picture of avril or heared her talking about others and that confirmed my opinion that she is not nice person. Look when she talks bad about lina or when she said the girls are not clean. Do you think this is good from someone you think is so nice. Why she has the right to say bad about others and when kholod or other mum give comments you said she is vulgar or tring to break couples.

Now what is wrong with what kholod said, it is clear and straight forward. Why avril fan make a big issue out of it and send many messages to avril saying be careful from kholod.
If patty really believe that kholod was after her all time to make her leave bassil, she would have said so, but no, it was the only time they discuss a topic together. They hardly speak to each other, so how come that kholod is always telling patty to stay away from bassil or avril.

So, I don't think LBC necessarily screens out certain messages according to a pre-determined agenda. It makes me crazy too, because as you said, some messages get pretty much repeated over and over and it gets boring. I think they just randomly select the messages and I don't believe there's a conspiracy any where. Ciao!

About the Arab education system discussion: Since I have not lived in the Middle East, I cannot lead a discussion about the values and virtues of the curriculum currently established in the Arab world. However, since I am acquainted with the history of the region, I have enough confidence to vouch for its generation of outstanding scientists,mathematicians, philosphers, and physicians who have profoundly contributed to our current understanding of the world. Without the work of those Arab geniouses, we would not have been introduced to important fields such as Algebra. The Arab mind has significantly shaped the world when the West was submerged into darkness. Numerous discoveries made by the Arab/Muslim scientist have been overlooked by the Western textbooks, which are mostly written by the White man. Go figure!
Undoubtedly, the Arab mind is capable of producing impressive scientific discoveries and theories. Alas, the lack of resources and finances, which are abundant in the Western world, have slowed the progress toward achieving those goals in the Arab world.

It seems you are mixing education with training. They are two different matters.
You are the Math applied graduate but I found little or no logical liaison between all the different subjects you run through in your short post.
Where you are living right now there is a teacher who is making $30000 a year is applying in Sacks Fifth or Bloomingdale stores to sell shoes, after a short 2 to 3 weeks training s/he will be making $40000 a year. Could your reasoning justify this fact? I doubt it.
It's not the responsibility of any University or School to find you a job but to provide a learning platform for companies to pick and choose among a pool of potential employees and train them based on their own needs.
Education is a different subject than training/jobs...so many illiterate people are brilliant in their trade line...a construction worker who can't write his name could make 2 times more than a teacher... And be happily living in Algeria, Mexico or US.
A lot of Arab countries education systems are great if only economic conditions be improved more.
Things may look very clear...on the surface.

Secondly, since I've lived all my life in North America, I cannot talk about the education system of Middle East but I can tell you that I'm sure there is a lot of well educated Arabic persons, even though the Universities are not ranked in the top 1000. We cannot put everybody in the same box!
Our problem in Middle East is that we need to know and learn especially to always stick together. We need to make the next generation and raise our children to not make differences cuz we have different accents and stick together cuz nobody would understand us more than ourselves.

it is strange that you commented only on Max's point of view and saying that he's taking too seriously the show while Ilham insults very badly all the girl candidates...
Secondly, if Max is saying is opinion he or she is free to express himself/herself the way he/she want it... "maybe" he's tired from seeing how the game is turning and things could be unfair for certain people in the show and also how things could change so fastly due to some little argument or word said without really meaning it or knowing that it could become such a big thing and it beeing repeated over and over again by the directors of the show...
This is reality TV you'r stuck in a place 24 on 24 and you're deconnected from the real world and you dont have any contact from outside so after some time you forget about cameras,about being watch, etc.
Honestly, I'm not in either Patti's side or Aya's side cuz after all it's all a game and all the candidates are here to get noticed and to challenge themselves and especially living a one life experience!
And, like I said before we cannot say that any couple of the show could get married or any of them found the "right" person that suits them the most since they didnt even see the way they live and the girls dont even know what their parents really think of their choices, if they approve it or not!
In everyday life that's how you see the real person and how their reaction to different situation, and if the groom' family will connect with the bride's family...
In fact, there is a lot of issues that come not only love.
In my opinion, everything starts at the end of the show!

I still think and hope for Mme Avril to continue to ignore, the extremely provocative, Mme Khloud and try her best to stay calm. I myself was very provoked by the way Mme Khloud kept laughing during the SMS session. I know that she is concealing her anger behind her hysterical laughter.
I hate listening to Mme Khloud talk about herself, her wonderful qualities, and her terrible quote “Ya Gabl ma yahzek ree7.” I’ve never witnessed her mention her family or that she misses them. She is a liar ‘cause we all heard her trying to turn Patty against Mme Avril & Bassel. I was not surprised that Patty was trying to be nice and polite as she always is and didn’t confront Mme Khloud.
I really think Mme Khloud is in the show for herself and not her son. I vote her and Possy as the most provocative, rude, discourteous, vulgar and disrespectful women in the M.E.

hello everyone.this is the first time i post in this forum but i have been reading all the comments for a long time.what i find very interesting is how this show provoks older and more mature people to voice their opinions and that prouves that the subject is close to most people, unlike other reality tv shows.
relationships and marriage are the favorite topic for most people no matter who they are. love usually is something that makes people feel good, i think it gives them hope , that's why we have books, movies, songs about love. love is the most beautiful and prescious blessing from God.
the people in this show came from different backgrounds and thats what makes us the viewers so interested, we analyse and compare and unfortunatly sometimes judge them. the simple idea behind the show is to see if it is possible for two people to meet and fall in love and get married in such short time, and in order to do so they need to have all the essential elements to embarc in such important and personal experince. it is obvious to everyone who is ready and well prepared to get married. their age, their level of maturity, their financial situation, and first and foremost their genuine love for each other, the strong chemistry, and natural understanding of each other, also their nature that seems to be what one of them requires from the other. in a relativly short time they gained each others trust and that is the most important condition in a successful relationship, and that trust goes far more beyond words as we have been wittnessing. i find very interesting the people who say that so and so should win or so and so is in love and should get married despite that we all saw how things were developing. as if it is another game or competion, not paying attention that there is a life time involved in this. all my love and best wishes to everone, and i'll let you all guss who are these people i neant. hoping to be answerd form you please. thank you.

I would like to add my own experience to this valued conversation.
I did my high school in Arabic country, excuse me if my English is not as good as you all.
I am doing great in my job where I started from the scratch as clerk and now I am holding very good position in one of the leading company where I live. (as you see who word hard get rewarded).
I wanted the best for my children, so I sent them to English speaking school. I was so happy to see them doing well.
My 2 daughters did graduate from US with high GPA, they were on honor list, and now my son started his study at USA also.
After my daughters graduated, they returned back, we are not against studying abroad and learn the best from others, but in our opinion, if everyone studied outside and never come back, then how can we help our society.
Don't you hear about the very important and famous people form USA, they bring their money and experience to help the poor. If they are doing this, then whey we don’t give the same, it is our country and our people.
Don’t tell me that, our country is all bad, we leave very well and decent life. But I can tell from your way, that you didn’t visit any Arabic country for long, consider this as invitation to give a visit to say Lebanon or my country Jordan or any other lovely Arabian gulf countries and you will be surprised to see how well educated the people and almost they have everything. There is no ideal country in the world yet.
You know I do watch this programme 24/24, and may be you didnt see Avril when she keep talking and talking about everyone and specially kholod.
She like to do that to one person at a time so she can talk and no one interpet her.
She is trying from yesterday to convince Aya that she is doing a big mistake and alos she is trying with poussy so she will be in her side.
She is realy funny lady.
Today at 3:30 wassim father called and give his blessing on Aya and many message arrive to congratuate them, I am happy for this lovely couple. Good that Aya didn't listen to Avril and she told her I dont care I love Wassim.

I have to make an addendum to your constructive argument. Although Arab citizens who seek education in the West have a priority to return to their homelands in order to benefit their cultures with the new experiences and knowledge that they have attained, I believe that there are many Arabs who take up residence in the West have been able to dedicate their time, efforts, and passion into helping their native countries. Basically, you do not have to return back to your home country to help it. I know many Arabs who live abroad have contributed to their birth countries by supplying them with various resources such as monetary donations and funds. Many Arabs have established organization dedicated to serving the need of the underprivileged populations living in the Middle East. In fact, they have made terribly great contributions that have immensely improved certain condition in various disadvantaged nations in that region of the world. In addition, I also believe there is a need for a growing educated, Arab community in the West that can influence foreign governmental policies and regulations in favor of the Mid-East region. By improving our status in the West, we can hold influential positions that could be utilized toward improving the current, critical status of the Arab world. I'm very hopeful!

By the way, when you use bad words to describe anybody that doesnt make more "credible"...
but unfornately that's how the show want us to react by dividing and making two side's and adding more tension than there is!
I dont know what Kholoud says or what proverb she uses but all I can tell you is just to be more intelligent than her and talk in a decent way...

Je trouve également que même si la personne peut parfois dépasser les limites et que ça devient un peu choquant à regarder nous avons pas le droit de manquer de respect, mais nous pouvons décrire ce qu'on a pas aimé et l'appuyer par des faits et exemples sans tomber dans l'impolitesse!

I agree totatly with you. Let's just say that the most important that we should all do our best to help the human no matter where he lives and what is his nationality.
I love US, I was there with my husband when he was studying and I had my first daughter there who is married from american guy and live in USA.
May be I am happy for Wassim and Aya, because they represent part of my life. I was in love when I was so young and got married and stayed with my husband until he graduated and raised a beautiful family.
What I am trying to say, that if love is there, dont be afraid, love is great. We both work hard, our family help us at the start and now it is our turn to take care of them and we are happy to do so.
And that take me to another perosn, kholod, she also got married when she was young, she worked hard with her husband and now they are doing great, that what she told. And may be that is the different between her and Avril, Avril never been out and face different type of people.

When I am talking about the education system or the health system, I am talking about the whole system in the Arabic world, don’t tell me that Arabic people are doing well, I am sorry to say that most Arabic people are struggling it is a truth. I am not talking when I go for a vacation and I see some people driving cars or having nice homes, what about the majority of people? They are in a bad shape. In many Arabic countries we don’t have the middle class any more that is a disaster because the old middle class becoming poor now. You are talking about exporting experience from here to our countries, the problem we need the work from inside not outside, outside will help a little bit not much.
By the way ask your daughters, what they teach them in college, especially if they are in science, they will teach them what the companies need, if you have a major in history you may struggle to get a job but in science noway, but in the Arabic countries and I am talking about the public school, no computers, most good teacher you have to catch them home (private lesson) what if your parents can not pay and your family has seven or height kids!!! By the way in some Arabic countries they are changing the programs every year some times they put you study in Arabic, they change to French or to English and of course the kids are already lost…
About the Arabic golf, it is wonderful to have a good building and nice cars but you know that until now those countries are third world, they are not investing in technology and this will be a big problem because the scientist say that the oil will be gone in 25 years, what those “Khalijee ” will leave to their kids: the misery.
P.S I don’t know much about Lebanon but last time I saw aljazeera I was so surprise, they still did not build much after last year war, the bad thing, they are busy fighting who will be in charge. (they don’t care about people misery: The Arabic System is evil)

Ilham, our countries are different and challenging , if you really seek success in any country in the Arab world you will have it big time.
In jordan the computer is essential in education, I know that my nephew can check his homework and grades through internet, and computer is tax free. Many in jordan have computers now. In the alst statistics Jordan and Tunis are the highest in number of educated people.
In arabian gulf, life here is not as you imagine, even though there is alot work the arab countries have to do, but believe me it is not as black picture as you see it.
I know that in jordan the nubmer of middle class are 55%. that is not great but it is not bad too. we have public school and hospital and I dont have to talk about how good are these two system in jordan it is very puplar amoung the arab countries. Please try to read more and listen to other parties about our countries rather than one resources, so you can have a complete picture and then judget. And again you are welcome to visit jordan and you dont have to go to tourist places go and visit people and see how they life. I am so proud of my country but that dosent mean I dont like other countries, I love USA, Lebanon, some arabian gulf countries, and as I said before I wish to visit egypt soon, they said there is nice places there

You did not get my point, the Arabic world will stay third world since they don’t change their system, most of them depend of the money that their immigrant bring of outside or Tourism or international helps, look at Malaysia which is a moderate Moslem country and have many companies, the Japanese are putting a lot of money in technology in Malaysia, it is a good democracy too.

All i can say is i love jordan, and i love lebanon despite i haven't visited lebanon yet. I might go there as well for a few days. But its the"rouh", when u first land and leave the airport that breeze of air sends u to heaven. Like life is so good and they don't live in poverty, things may not b dveloped as much as america but its about the ppl.
The system may b sh!t, but my school in london is sh!t. At least in arab countries, they're kidsput effort to succeed. well, i think that most of peopole who offonse ilham, took her post as an insult for the arabic world! i take her post from an otther view! she don't insult the arabic person, but she blame and speak about the system= gouvernement and how it distruct the arabic world; by corrupt etc etc , and didn't give the people their own right and chance to improuve their life (except for a little % as i see). and second thing i understand from her post and i agree with, is that either if we have most intelligent people in our arabic country, we still didn't reach the level of inventement, or creativity, we are unkown in that issu internationaly, and that is due to our gouvernment politic. the budget of scientifics researchs in all the arabic country is veryyyyyyy little and that's why we don't improve. just check about it and you will be disapointed.

I am originally from Lebanon but I've never lived there and what I see on the news is not something that makes u happy.
I don't like to talk about politic or economical issues in Lebanon cuz I dont really know how the system works.
But all I can say is that if we wanna progress, we need to change allll the system and put a brand new one!
We need to have dirigeants that creates and develops new ideas and new ways to give the poor and the rich and the middle class the same rights, at least the same basic rights that everybody SHOULD have like medication, insurrance, etc. I mean the same kind of service.
A lot of things that are unfair are still going on and if we don't stop it and work like a real democratic country we will never progress.
If we see the example of Jordan.
In my opinion, Queen Rania is one of the best role models we could have in Middle-East. She's taking initiatives, she is doing so much for women empowerment, for youth and children... So, if we have more people like her in each country we would be in better places.
And honestly, I don't think that our situation will change very soon.
I just wish the best for all our countries cuz it's sad seeing always bad news on TV!

Lala, you are welcome any time, all jordan people will be happy to welcome any visitors, go and see yourself. I do live outside jordan, but I go there in my holiday and I love it. The most I love about is sitting in my mum balcony and see kids walking, playing, say hi to others from balcony, invit them for arabic coffee and talk, it is so relaxing for me. My mum house always full of people who comes all time. There is no complication in life there.
Of course you will hear some complaining that veg. price is higher today, or go and buy now it is cheap in that place ... etc it is so simple life and I enjoy it.
