Personally, I like kholoud. Even though she does seem to say certain things that lead us to believe she is trying to break certain couples apart. But, then I could be mistaken. The only reason Avril doesn't like her is because she is the only one that challenges her. The competition looks like its between the two couples Wassim/Aya and Basil/Pati. But, if they keep naming each other Mouyad and Lina might end up winning the game (that is, if they become a couple).

I personally was very satisfied when Avaril chose not to make any effort to reoconnect with Khalood. She speaks as she truely feels. If you don't like someone, you are not going to force yourself to be friends with them. Avaril does not fancy khalood, and I don't blame her for cutting any relations with khalood given what ms. know-it-all has put her through for the past week. At least, Avaril wasn't trying to score points with the audience, and she accurately depcited her emotions.

On the other hand, we all know khalood cannot stand the sight of avaril, but she tries to put on this " i will always love you" act claiming she has only respect and good will for Avaril. When in reality, she would beat Avaril with a stick if it was up to her. Here is what I have to say khalood, " own it up woman. If you hate someone, you don't have to fool us with your Mother Teresa act! Just come out and say it!"

As much as she claims her loyalty to honesty and absolute frankness, she nevertheless displays her inner devious ways. All I can say is that reality will slap her in the face soon. Just Watch out, Khalood!

Kholood is pure evil and a big hypocrite. She herself said once she would never attend Patti n Bassel's wedding should they win and get married, so don't try to appear that you're miss lovey-dovey now. For a person who claims to cherish honesty and frankness (Ana Ba7eb essara7a), she's being very dishonest by pretending to want to befriend Avril, after what? After going and telling Patti that Avril didn't like her and that her life would be very difficult with Bassel if she married him? What a two-faced person! I have much more respect for Avril after tonight's Prime, and I totally support her unwillingness to make up with K; If your heart isn't in something, you shouldn't do it. It was K who fired the first shot during the first week of the show, as they showed us today. She rated Avril 2 out of 10 of all the moms. And who does she think she is to be rating the mothers? Talk about someone who feels supercilious and better than the rest!! And yes, I'm sure that was all in good fun, but i'm certain she meant it. In fact, all the things she accuses Avril of, are totally personified in K herself. I'd much rather have a mom in law like Avril than Kholood. K was just playing to the popularity factor with the girls and the audience when the big drama was going on this week.

And how rude was Wassim today with his totally inappropriate question to Rawda! I can't believe he asked her if she hoped her emotional reaction to Ayman's nomination would deter the girls from naming him. He actually asked her if her reactions were real or exaggerated!!! I was shocked at his cruelty and rudeness. Obviously the lady is hyper sensitive when it comes to her son, especially when others that she likes are naming him or being unkind. To ask such a question of her is out of line, but shows us his true colors. He really is his mother's son!!! Ibn ummo!!! I used to really like him and thought him a gentle soul who probably takes after a gentle father. My opinion of him has been worsening little by little and today's Prime proved to me that he's the same as his mom....lacking in class and finesse, and tending to be on the vulgar side.

Avril did not change her mind when she was asked if she would befriend Tante Kholoud, even though the crowd was saying yes! She still said no, so you know she's there for her son, unlike kholoud who is there for herself! Kholoud said she will befriend Avril, but tante Avril isn't dumb enough to believe her and I definitly don't! They received an SMS like that and they said they'll be friends but it never happened! Plus Kholoud says she's honest and she said she'll be willing to be friends with TANTE Avril, but I assure you she'll start talking about Avril or her son! I don't agree with you. I don't think it's a question of religion. Yes, they maybe from different religions, but this difference will not hinder them from building a life together. I know many female christians and male muslims who have married eachother and have worked out their differences. Don't forget that Lebanese people come from various religion factions and beliefs! Hence, they are accustomed to these differences. I know many lebanese who have married outside of their religions, and they have successful marriages. I don't think it would be a problem for them if they are willing to discuss their differences and understand eachother.

I don’t think that Mme Khloud is being herself. She is acting and good at that. This lady had had a very tough life. Had to work and earn money to be able to raise her kids and had to live with her in-laws at the beginning. She knows very well how to conceal her feelings yet always claim that she is a straightforward person and has a strong personality. We’ve seen what kind of mom she was to Khaled whom she busy conspiring against candidates and left for the girls to look after!! She is a master of deception and a very provocative person. She enjoys provoking, the easily to provoke Mme Avril. Mme Avril is a true mom, whose life revolves around her family. She is not well equipped to be in a live show ‘cause she always speaks her mind. I love her and relate to her ‘cause she reminds of my aunt back home.
I was shocked by the fact that Mme Khloud feels the show is about her. She strives for fame and I don’t think she is in the show for the right reasons. I mean after all, this show is about the perfect bride and her son isn’t ready to get married yet.
I think that Patty and Bassel are wonderful together. They have chemistry and understanding. They are also mature enough to be able to handle any problems they might face.
Ayah & Wassiem: They are sweet like teenagers discovering love for the first time. I should worry about their future together ‘cause the guy is not ready to get married yet and they had to deal with many issues prior of getting married. I wonder why did Wassiem join the show if he wasn’t ready to get married or did his mom force him to do it?
Gabby & Ayman: I adore Gabby. She is a very mature person but she is very practical. Ayman is trying to please her in every way. Ayman needs to join an anger management program, learn to think before speaking, and not to trust the two wicked witches, Possy (very nasty name) and Lina.
Possy & Lina ( The show‘s left over): They were busy conspiring against other candidates and didn’t hook up with any of the guys. They are evil and I wonder what is keeping them in the show, aside from the fact that the other couples are busy trying to vote each other out. Possy is rude & vulgar (look at the way she talks, eats, sits, etc.), but Lina has class but is not feminine enough to appeal to guys.
Najd: He is a classical Middle Eastern man, who fell for a girl with so many psychological problems. I really don’t know what happened to her but hope she is getting all the psychological attention she needs.
Mo2ayed: He is very kind and hate to see him ending up with Possy or Lina.

I was shocked watching the dailies today at Kholood's joy and pleasure that the show was all about her and that people are watching her and that she's important and a star! My husband, who doesn't follow the show, happened to be listening to her go on about how wonderful she is and he said to me: "This woman is sick!" That's the perfect word to describe K. She's so busy plotting, scheming and bragging about herself, that she doesn't see that her son is not ready for marriage, nor is he really into Aya, who is adorable and deserves someone to cherish her.

For all those who say that Avril thinks she's better than most, are you guys watching the same show? If anyone continuously and relentlessly blows her own horn it's K; here are some of the adjectives she uses to describe herself:

educated, Zakiyeh (smart), Fahmaneh (smart again), Saree7ah (honest), Ya jabal ma yhezzak ree7, etc.

It sounds like it's Kholood who thinks she's the best mom there. I totally agree with Cleopatra07 that while Avril is just being herself and is there for her son only, K is only after her own personal gains, whatever those may be. Avril is really a simple woman who is 3ala neyyata, unpretentious, and not necessarily very eloquent, but very harmless. I so agree with Cleopatra07 that while the cute little Kahled was visiting, his mom pretty much left his care taking up to the girls and kept herself busy scheming and making up plans B and C in case plan A did not work out.

Mymy, it doesn't sound like the financial situation of Bassel really makes him desperate to win the show. According to Poussy, who was listening carefully, he had said at the very beginning that whoemever ends up as his wife will not need to work and will have people (servants?) to help her out. The family has a house in Beirut and one in Kuwait, so I don't think they're in this for the money. As for the religion part, I agree with Audrey that Lebanese are used to the various religions and sects because that's the nature of the country. Also, the candidates are asked during the casting whether they mind moving to other countries and whether they mind marrying someone from another religion. So, not a problem. And I don't think the Kholood cares about Patti one fig, so her "advice" to Patti is not because she's concerned about the girl, she wants to plant more of her doubt and poison that she's so adept at doing. 2allah Ynajeena men hal mara! What an aweful human being, and an embarrassment to Arab womanhood. Keep watching and I'm sure you'll see more of her scheming and evil ways.

some corrections: 1. patty is 26 years old not 28 so she's as young as the rest of the girls.
2. Bassel does have a career. he had a job, but he quit to come to this show.
3. They weren't aware of the prizes that will be offered at the end of the show. After they displayed the prizes during the last prime, they all came to realize the mangitude of actually remaining to the final prime. Hence, your theory that bassel came to win prizes is inherently flawed.

Contrary to what you think, even a 28 year old girl is still young (as Audrey pointed out above, Patti is actually 26), and most "educated" and enlightened guys these days are not attracted to young girls due to the immaturity factor, the lack of things in common when you have a large age span between couples, the lack of preparedness to commit, etc. It's very passe and "old village-like" for a 30 year old man to want to marry someone half his age; it's very demode and backward. So, just because Patti is not 16, does not make her an old hag. And as far as the way she looks, of course you're entitled to your opinion and there's no accounting for tastes, but Patti and Gabi, who by the way is 29, are the two most beautiful girls on the show, inside and out. They're pretty much the complete package, from what we can see as spectators. And obviously the 2 of them must have something really special if they've inspired such passions from the two most desirable guys there (my opinion).

And I don't know how you or anyone knows that Mme. Rola wants Patti to win. Everyone was saying that Mme. Rola only wanted the Lebanese kids to win on Starac, meaning Tina and Carlo, and lo and behold, a most deserving Iraqi won, because she was the best, and the audience recognized that.

And how do you know that P & B's possible marriage will be a failure? How can anyone predict this in any couple's relationship. I think on the contrary, he is so very clear to the world about the importance of his family in this life, it will make things easier for everyone, because his wife will know where matters stand. It's better this way than if he were wishy-washy about things. And I'm curious, why aren't the other guys asked if their moms/families come first or not? We need to be more rational in our analysis of the show. The purpose of this show is to pick the Perfect Bride and it goes without saying , the perfect couple. So we need not be biased to couples representing our country of origin. The perfect couple need to be the ones who are mature enough to get married, have mutual understanding, and since the show is targeting the people of the M.E they need to have values of the region, yet be modern enough to appeal to the younger generations. I think that Bassel and Patty are the perfect couples. Second to them, are Ayman and Gabby. Gabby is very mature and Ayman is so much in love with her. Ayah is a good candidate but Wassiem is not ready to get married yet. He changed his mind after learning of the prizes (not very promising).
It was amazing that in today’s SMS session there were none addressed to Ayah and Wassiem. I am certain that there are others who feel that they are not ready yet.
The other candidates are the left over of the show. Possy joined the show for the free food and to gossip. God she is an eating machine and has gained much weight. I think, whoever came with the idea of SMS, added to Possy's frustrations which she comforts by eating more and more food. I remember at one point Possy that telling Mme Khloud that she made dinner to the guys and after eating the food she prepared, both Ayman and Bassel were fighting over her. The poor thing it seems everything in her life revolves around food. Lina is not a very attractive girl but has class. She is wicked in too many ways. She just can’t digest the fact that none of the guys fell for her. She is very tough in the way she deals with others. She was and is an ally and collaborator of Possy and there mission is to spread hatred and poison among candidates.
Why is Possy being nice to Mme Avril? I always suspect her intensions. Please tell Mme Avril not to trust her. Why did she have to share in the conversation and how does the story of her brother Sherief relate to the conversation?

Avirl said many times that her daughter told her, her sons told her, I am wondering how come she can talk freely with her children and the others can't discuss anything regarding the show with their family, they said it many times that LBC teams will be watching them.

And I heard that the driving lessons Avril is taking is all just to get her out to see her family and get some time out. No one is watching her when she is out, that is not fair.

- Giving Mme Avril the privilege of contacting her family, I think all the other moms have the same privilege. We’ve watched Mme Khloud call her family at an early stage of the show and so did the other moms. Mme Khloud had the privilege of meeting with her daughter and son and inviting them to stay at the house.
- Your belief that Patty is related to Mrs. Rola Saad. I am not sure of the source and hope it is not based on the feelings of many people living in the M.E that if you are good it has to be ’cause you are connected to someone important. Well, I still don’t see how does this underestimate Patty? I think the girl is a perfect example of how a modern M.E girl should look, dress, behave, express herself, and love. The fact that she and Bassel are the focus of attention is pure commercial. The audiences love them and the show sells more with them.
- Your views about Lina not wishing to take the first step towards guys she likes, apposed to other girls who did. I think the purpose of the show is for couples to meet and it is a sort of competition with girls out-numbering guys. So she can’t just wait for a guy to be charmed by her without making any move in his direction. I mean she isn’t physically attractive, has this harsh voice, and is very tough as a girl. However, this is a very good excuse that she and Possy tell themselves instead of admitting the fact that they failed to charm any of the guys and had to wait for rejected guys. We’ve all listened to her wishing to invite Ayman, who was hooked-up with Gabby, to dinner adding, “who knows maybe even a romantic dinner.”
- I agree with you that the candidates all knew about the show’s prize prior to joining. However, reminding them must have had its magic.

Finally, I would like to add that both Mme Khloud and Possy can win a prize as the most provocative people in the show. Adding to it their new definition of the word “Sari7a”(straight-forward) and “Qawiya” (have a strong personality) to mean being rude, discourteous, bad-mannered, offensive and disrespectful. As a person of Egyptian origin I think Possy is the worst example of an educated Egyptian girl. God she is so vulgar, needs to learn how to act and dress like a lady, gets crazy when she sees food, and need to lose weight.
