Tonight, in about an hour or so, the final results of The New Seven Wonders of The World will be announced.
I am reporting from the Jordanian rose city Petra, one of the strong candidates ... Will it become one of The New Seven Wonders of The World? There are hundreds of people gathered here in Petra for a huge celebration in anticipation of the result, which will be announced shortly.
Jordanians are on their toes waiting for the live broadcast from Lisbon ... So am I!
- Update: The celebration, which is sponsored by ORANGE, is staged just in front of the Treasury, which is the famous monument that faces the end of the Siq. The Siq is one of the most famous part of Petra, one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

The Jordanian Minister of Tourism spoke live from Lisbon, from the center of the huge celebration there for the announcement of the results of The New Seven Wonders of The world.
Many Jordanian singers are present here, they will perform for the live audience & present new songs that have been made especially for the occasion.
The 1st song is by SuperStar winner Diana Karazon, entitled 'Ana Petra'.

- Update: Did You know that the 1st & original 7 wonders of the world were chosen by a Byzantine man about 2500 years ago? & that the only remaining wonder are the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt?

- Update: The second singer to sing was Mahmoud Sultan, a young Jordanian singer who has a very attractive voice. Sultan participated with his song 'Petra' & part of his song 'El Urdon Awalan'.
Bashar Sarhan was the third to perform, he sang 'Yal Urdunia'.
