Carlos owns the Mexican website ‘Sentido Cumon’ which specializes in financial and economic media! This title was given to him by Forbes magazine that make a list of the richest people in the world...
Because of the increase in the stock of ‘America Movil’ by 5.26% in the second term Carlos who owns 33% of this company found himself richer than Bill Gates! His wealth is estimated currently at $67.8 billion. According to Forbes magazine the difference between Slim and Gates’ fortune is nine billion dollars! Slim also owns the first telecommunications company in Latin America along with a chain of shops and restaurants.
It seems that if this man can beat Bill Gates next years competition for Richest man Alive is open to everyone!

Why should Carlos Slim donate to reconstruct Lebanon even if he acknowledged his Lebanese origins???? that I do not understand. There are others who should and not him.
I have to add that the majority of Mexicans, his own countrymen and women, live in poverty so they would be more in need of his donations and charity.
He just has a Mexican passport that's it, he's Lebanese through and through. A lot of Lebanese ppl forget their roots when they go to other countries. Take Shakira for example she said her grandma is Lebanese when she is fully Lebanese! They need to get back their roots. Here in the UK there are ppl from all over the world but are born here but the still state their ethnicity.

I do not understand how a country like Mexico who is home to the richest man in the world and has more billionaires than Switzerland can be characterized as a third world country? How do they justify exporting all its poverty with the expectation of an annual 23 billion dollar return? What sort of changes need to be made to provide schools, living wage jobs and medical assisatance to the less fortunate? If the rich of Mexico don’t want to share than the least they could do is put birth control in the drinking water.
