On Friday 29/06 was the final prime of Starac Maghreb. It was a fantastic night;
Many guests attended the prime among them: Saber Robai, Lotfi Bouchnak,
Folla, Ayman Al a3tar (superstar2), Faudel & Cheb Khaled. The night started not with the hymn of starac "leely tweel", but with 40 Kids singing "Allah ya molana" they sang a song for nas el 3'iwan (Moroccan Group) it was very touching listening to angelic voices singing such a difficult song in such a perfect way.
Then, the four finalists; Hajar from Morocco, Ahmad from Lybia, Soraya from Tunisia & Hamid from Morocco entered and sang "leely tweel".
The first song was by Faudel: "je veux vivre" (I want to live) with Hajar
And Soraya, then the four students sang together a song dedicated to the public.
After that Saber Robai sang a song called "mowakel 3lik raby".
Hamid turn was up, he sang "kan ya makan"
Hamid also sang "Didi" alongside Khaled
Ahmad, Hamid, and Rim K sang "yal babour", a song which is a hit in the Maghreb countries.
Soraya and Hajar sang "3rodhouny zouz sbaya" a song that Lebanese singer Majda Erroumy once sang in Carthage and it was one of my favourite tableau's.
Chabba Zahwanya sang "el3ano shetan" ... Personally, I didn't like it at all!
Hamid and Soraya performed "je nai pas changé" by Julio iglesias.
Rap reggea, Ach kayen, Ziad Negro, and City Z (different groups) sang together; it was an electric atmosphere and they set the audience on fire!
Ahmad and Ayman sang "A3tebiny"
Saber, Hamid and Ahmad sang " ya dalloula".
Folla sang a cocktail of Tunisian songs, Algerian and Moroccan songs as well while playing the Piano.
Ahmad and Hamid sang "liliri ya manna"
Faudel, Hajer and Soraya sang "tellement je t'aime"
Soraya and Ahmad sang "comme d'habitude"
Khaled sang "Aicha"
Lotfi bouchnak sang "Ana tawa bdit"
Khaled and Bouchnak sang together "lela ya jazayer" ...
Finally, the two finalist girls Hajar and Soraya made a defilé of dresses designed by Fadhila Arghady.
I liked the idea, because it helped decreased the tension & stress before the announcement of the results ... Which went like this:
4- Soraya: 18%
3- Hamid: 24%
2- Ahmad:28%
And the winner was HAJAR from Morocco with: 30% ...
At the end, all the guests I mentioned came on stage and all of them sang "Abdelkader ya bou3lam" ... Which I liked very much ... It was nice seeing Folla singing with Saber and Bouchnak singing with Khaled and Ayman sings with Faudel.
But, I still have some remarks:
- during all starac primes, never ever did a student forget lyrics though they had to sing so many songs.
- rarely do you hear the word 'nashaz' out of tune, when teachers give advice to the students,
- all students sang in 3 languages at least.
- personally, the level of Starac Maghreb is much better than Starac Lebanon as far as voices and performance are concerned. But, when it comes to the program itself and the presenting ... Starac Lebanon is much better!
- the winner of this year deserves the title 100% ...
Special thanks to Bambusha for the final prime review
