No one can deny the fact that the Internet has opened up a bigger world and wider opportunities for people of all ages. In the online realm everyone are equal. Celebrities and ordinary people alike have all the right to say what they want and reveal what they want. Every one of us has the innate desire to share something of ourselves to others…to reach out and I think this is why networking sites have become so popular. There is just something about belonging to a certain community in the web even though you’ve just interacted with them virtually.

But now the issue that is coming to the fore is privacy. But should it be privacy or control? When you are on the web you are opening yourself to other people, but only about those that you want other people to know. What you publish is under your control but once it’s published, your privacy ends right there since it can now be accessed by other people. So if you don’t want to end up in a scandal of course you wouldn’t publish indecent content. And it is the same with networking sites, who you add into your own web community, is under your control.
