We have all heard about Elissa's hate-hate relationship with the press, well it seems lately they have had another clash.
Apparently a journalist is accusing Elissa of assault during the filming of the latest prime of the program Album. According to this particular journalist, he followed Elissa after she finished her onstage appearance to assess her opinion regarding the teams competing. Upon him entering her room, she yells at him to get out saying no one is allowed inside and requests from her companion that he be removed, which the former does forcibly!!
The journalist claims to have told her that she was out of line and she could have a used a more subtle approach and not force, adding that "we as journalists do not want you, or anything from you, we are only trying to do our jobs" to which she answered a simple "thank you" and left.
Her manager claims that the incident does not deserve the attention it is attracting and that the journalist is seeking fame nothing more.
Personally I think Elissa took the Diva attitude a bit too far, and she could have handled the situation with a little less aggression.

i thinnk that elissa has become so arrogant after winning the music award two consecutive times, and i agree that she could have handled the situation with less agression because the journalist didn't do anything wrong.
she is famous but this doesn't give her the right to insult people specially that the man did not do anything except his work as a journalist.
i think the journalist was absolutely wrong to invade elissa's room. instead,if he waited for here until finishes or interviewed her before reaching her room the clash shouldn't have happend.But i come back to say,as a star, Elissa should behave wisely because she will lose at the end.
First, I don't think Elissa can sing properly, second, I do agree she has the best songs, but thats not because she has a very nice voice.!! maybe thats because she is dealing with the best composers and writers in the middle east, and the best directors from all around the world.
I like Elisa's Songs (EDITED) and everything, and I listen to them all the time in my car.. But there is no way , I can listen to her singing in a live concert or program. She just CANT sing LIVE!! thats a fact..
To tell you the truth, unfortunately, I watched her singing live twice! And I wish I can refund the ticket, and get my money back!!.. One of the times was FREE, when she was the guest in star academy, and I was there in the studio watching the prime Live. OH MY GOD!!
I do respect Elisa's Fans, but no matter how much you like her.. That doesn't make her better.. that doesn't mean she has a nice voice! Many people adore Maria, that doesn't mean she can sing!!
As least, haifa can sing her songs live with out any problem.. She knows what songs to choose that can work for her very soft, cute, and charming voice!!

Sou3ad hosny didnt know how to sing but she sang her own style and so did hayfa.. when i listen to hayfa live i feel there is no difference but elissa i guess it showed clrealy up in the last prime of album how horrible is her voice.

Who said I am saying that about Elisa, because I am with Haifa or anyone! I am with none of them.. I am just saying that haifa and elisa are always on the same line.. Thats why i am comparing them.. And believe me if you know in music a bit.. you'd agree with me! Elisa should either sing playback all the time, or maybe choose songs that she can actually SING and not annoy the listener.
Elisa has been taking voice lessons with wadee3 abi ra3id (Star Academy Teacher) for 3 years maybe.. well i found out that staracademy students improved much better than elissa within a period of 4 months..
IMEDD!!! please dont understand me wrong, and think i am saying that about elisa because i like haifa.. both of them have good songs.. AND please dont convince me that elisa can even sing.. because its very easy..!! She just cant SING!! you either have the talent or you DONT..!!

Zeid, the people on this site cant take an honest opinion from a person who actually knows their stuff about music. Dont pay any attention to them. I said the same thing about Amr Diab and got attacked. I love his music, but he cant sing live at all. Dont let them bring you down i applaud you for saying what you want, because we all have the right to say what we feel WITHOUT BEING ATTACKED. But Go you. Anyways. I have to agree about Elissa not having the best voice when singing live, and she always goes offkey. As for Haifa having nice songs, noooo but to each his own in that regards as in most things in life, tastes differ! I do like to listen to some Elissa's songs though.

I was watching Elissa once when Bassem Feghali was imitating her and she did not crack a smile once. She takes herself too seriously.
There is a clip on youtube by the way of Bassem immitating Assala and he was awesome, she was great and took it with the good humour it was intended.

I am neither jealous of elissa nor do I prefer Assalah to her, on the contrary. I was commenting on how I view Elissa's personality based on her TV appearances and how Assalah who is even more arrogant reacted to Bassem immitating her. I enjoy listening to Elissa's songs and I agree that she is not facially that beautiful, however I prefer her looks to Haifa, and I think that she is as sexy but in a much more classier way than Haifa.

That is really the secret to many can't-sing singers. I too listen to Elissa all the time, but not in a car as I don't have one, but it's on my iPod which goes with me everywhere I go. It's the words and the melody that always grabs my heart. I love it. But when it's watching her live, I can't really say that.
However the part about Haifa, a part of me agrees with you but a smaller part of me doesn't. Haifa isn't a great singer, let's put her voice against Asalah and you'll see what I mean. She can sing, but her voice is not that brilliant. And when it come to singing live, she does a good job even though she has a small, but sweet, voice. However, it's not her singing that does her good, it's her performances and stage presence. She is more of a performer than a singer, and I am sure everyone agrees with me when I say that.

Most people would want to attck Elissa...well, really they would attack anyone famous. Look at Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan... these are the people who are most likely to be attacked.
You know why?
Beacuse they don't handle things wisely and professionally. I am not saying that the journalist has the right to walk in on her like that, but she could have just palyed it safe and wise with her actions. The journalist didn't. In fact, the journalist was smart enough to know how to push Elissa's button and make her more annoyed. In fact, he made it into a bigger drama. Completely unneccessary, but is one that would make headlines and place cash in his pocket. Definitely something to write about - even a sign of arrogance.
But let's question why did she do that?
Did she have a bad day?
Or what?
We don't really know.
Therefore, we shouldn't really say that she is arrogant.
The way Elissa behaved drew this much attention. This all would have been avoided if she thought about it wisely.
But she didn't.
So who is in the right and who is in the wrong?
To me, they both are.

Well, like, people attack others all the time, whether physically or verbally. But its always the most hugest, horrible thing if a singer does it. As you said, their human. And they sometimes react like that. But just because of their reaction, am i going to hate or love them more? Not really. Again, as long as they keep doing what their doing (Well, if their good at it, that is :D) Im happy. Their happy. Everyones happy.
Well, the reason i say he can't sing live is because, they guys voice is constantly cracking, hes off key from the start, he cant hold the notes, nothing. Its like he's a rookie when given a microphone. And for some reason, the guy always looks drunk to me. I dunno why, but he does. And I mean, i finally had the guts to say that to my family one day, knowing i was gonna get yelled at, only to hear, "Wallahi habeebti, you have no clue how right you are." from my dad. Then my mom, and both my brothers, and my aunt, who happened to be there. Talk about weird. I dunno, I think peoples love of him block out the fact that he cant sing live.
Oh, and, of course, just the mere sound of his voice makes me wince and shudder. But his recordings, man, they couldnt be smoother and more lovely. But then again, technology these days makes anything possible
LOL Adam=<3, that cracked me up especially the part about telling your family. Well believe or not, I cannot watch him live too especially when he attempts to dance or jump up and down more like it. He's a cutie though and came at a time where he seemed original and gained the kind of success he amassed. I liken him to Elissa in many ways, however he is much cuter and the personality seems more appealing.
