Since the 80’s he has been known as the number one singer in the middle east, in the 90’s he won his first World music award and has become a phenomenon, in the 2000’s he reached other heights with some of his best albums ever, and also another World Music Award. This person is none other than Amr Diab. After delays of over six months, Amr is back in a new album which is expected to be named either, Khaleek Mayaa, or El Leila De.
This album which will launch in summer 2007 will be his final with Rotana, and news as already leaked that he will sign a blockbuster 3 album, 2 movie deal with the Egyptian Good News 4 Music company. The album will contain a total of 10 songs, three composed by him, and the rest by Mohammad Roheim and the Arab worlds number 1 composer, Amr Mustafa. The video clip which will be filmed in Paris will be directed by the director of Omaret Yacobien, Marwan Hamed.
Some of the news which was announced from Rotana is that Amr will be singing a duet with Shakira.
So await the best of the best, the king of kings, AMR DIAB is coming summer 2007.

Hah, how funny, I was listening to Tamally Maak when i scrolled down and saw this. Thats cool, he makes good songs, but he absolutely sucks live.. Eh. Well, i thought he already sang a duet with Shakira. I have it on my computer lol

AMR THE KING OF ARABIAN POP is back! so goddamned thrilled!!!! hanadi, he did record a single with shakira, the song is called ojos asi(eyes like yours). but you can't hear amr singing, he just sings some verses in arabic and that's about it. watch the clip on youtube. it would be great that they record a duet together, maybe shakira will finally start singing in arabic. and amr... keep on the good work, im sure ur album will be (again :) ) a great succes!
Eyes like urs is a old song for shakira amr diab is not even in it plz stop spreading that, he was supposed to start working on the duet after the album release so people started mixing songs and saying thats the duet but for who ever knows eyes like urs is an older song and amr diab didnt record any duets with shakira yet :)i saw the video that video is old u can even tell mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn :D

Exactly my point, maghrebi. Hanadi dont go saying i know nothing because i spend every freakin moment i have on my music. So if I say theres already a song with Amr and Shakira, people agree, and you yourself say that its out there, dont dare tell me what i know and what i dont know. And you know what? He does suck at singing live. And no, it is him, not another person. im not that freakin stupid. i didnt say he sucks period, you got that? i enjoy his songs, but his concerts are horrible. Learn what a real voice is, with no retouchings and technical fixings, then come talk to me, like a normal grown person, not a psycho obsessed person who sounds like a child when offended. God.
Sorry but how in the world can you say Amr Diabs voice is bad during concerts? NO ONE does better concerts than him. And a person who knows about music should know that.
Actually for Ojos Asi, there was never a recording of Amr Diab on it. The remix which is the arabic version, does not include amr diab at all...rumors spread that it was him in the background singing but it was a male arabic chorus. If you purchase the album and you try to purchase the single (arabic version) you will see that amr diab isnt on it at all. However, if you download it on a peer2peer network, the song shows up under Shakira ft. Amr Diab. I am curious to hear who adam believes sounds good live out of the arabic singers.

I want you to show me where amr diab is in this clip...also, Ojos Asi (arabic version) was sung way before laundry service came out...it was then translated and put on here english album (laundry service )later. So lets try to gather the right information before we talk out of our butts.
adam if u really spend every moment on ur music u would know thats not amr diab because that song is old and he never said he recorded it and if he did u would hear it all over the tv not on the internet and its not him ok:) im not gonna waste my time talking to u
