The celebration went down in Cairo's Baron Palace & in the presence of many famous faces like Lebanese star Haifa Wehbe.
The event was attended by more than 500 VIP's from the cinema & music business.
Haifa was interviewed by Amr Adib, who asked her about her latest album & what her role is as part of the Pepsi 'Sea of Stars'.

Changed my mind about the dress. Upon closer inspection the front of it is not so nice.

I just wanna respond to Mo2mena's comment, if u really are a mo2mena, dont you know that talking behind people's back and making fun of them is haram in Islam??? so dont call urself a mo2mena!!
Second, dont generalize cos not all Lebanese are like Haifa, are all Egyptians like Ruby???

Aya,
Atleast ruby has a good voice and she is already beautiful without any plastic surgery also ruby recently did a very decent video clip and it showed how beautiful voice she has.

What's with the repeated argument that goes along the lines that "atleast Ruby is natural", does that entitle you to be trashy. I am natural with no platic surgery, should I take a video of myself running wild in the fields with barely any clothes on, and if I get arrested, my defence would be "well I am natural!!!"???.
Ruby has neither amazing beauty nor is the owner of a beautiful voice. She is a barely talented cutie with catchy songs. She does not have the making of a decent singer, you have the awesome Angham for that, gorgeous with immense class and talent. Ruby got famous because she showed her assets and shook her ass repeatedly on TV. I doubt she will be welcome with clothes on, she does not have the talent for it, unless by decent, you mean "Elissa decent" u7mmm u7mmmm. She is not above other trashy singers, they are all at the bottom of the heap.

Yeah I agree with that Silvana. But I have to say Elissa is not attractive at allll. The woman needs very good lighting, and tonnes & I mean buckets of mascara, eyeliner and so on to bring out her barely there eyes astakhfir Allah ya3ny all eyes have their unique beauty but all together she's extremely overhyped. Kaman her mouth is not straight; she talks & sings with a slant and I suspect it's coz she's had her lips pumped, possibly just upper lip. Ya3ny ok looking from a distance I'm sure, but up close she is probs an entirely diff story...

Haifa's dress is vile...She needs 2 get with her age. Anyway girlies...they r all tarts who live just 4 male attention.

Aya...this is a public forum. It's virtually impossible to talk 2 anyone behind anyones back. Otherwise we're all in the wrong for participating in forums.

Sam i know it is a public forum but at least u and I dont pretend to be something we are not! That's my whole point.
And about Ruby, I wasn't comparing Haifa to Ruby, and honestly I think neither of them can be considered a singer. They dont have any talent except the know-how of catching people's attention, and good for them. At least they are making use of their beauty :) All i was saying is that you shouldn't generalize. Just read Mo2mena's comment and u ll know what I am talking about.

Well 4 sure I agree with that point i.e. being a sl*t has no nationality. It's a chosen way of life for a considerable proportion of the female population from all walks of life here, there & everywhere.

heyyy..sorry long time i didn't write ..i still have exams..

Thanks S.M.S i read ur comment there ..(you are so sweet too :) )
Lebchris..(there will never be hard feelings...u r so nice by the way)
Tunisian..(GOD WITH YOU..i know how they treat arabs there..take care of urself)

secondly..people...!!what is wrong with you people? how long we will keep attack each other ? i mean some one made a comment(who seems to be very RATIONAL UNWISE COMMENT AND STUPID TOO ) and it became as usual a 2 countries conflict ..well i have to admit (WE EGYPTIANS THE LAST PERSONS THAT SHOULD START ATTACK ANY SINGER BECAUSE THEY CAN HAVE HUNDREDS OF ATTACKS ON OUR ARTISTS SINCE 40S)

thirdly...Haifa herslef is half egyptian!!so it won't be lebanese only who will get blamed only!!over here...

fourthly the dress is not attractive...i mean it is not very fashinable...i like Elissa' dresses..she is more fashionable than haifa and sure with greater greater voice than haifa or ruby

I disagree with all the people who put down haifa's dress. This dress was designed by the italian guru of fashion, Roberto Cavalli. She didn't buy this at some knock off store. This dress is elegant and must have cost a pretty penny ( proubaly around $ 5,000 ). I must be the only one who noticed this but haifa has cleary taken out her breast implants. They look alot smaller and natural these days. It's about time she did that. Breast implants expire after ten years. You have to replace them after that. I'm just glad she opted to get a smaller size for her frame. This dress is far from "vile" considering some of the things she wore earlier in her career. I have studied haifa's fashion sense for years so you have to forgive me if I find it alittle insulting when people put down the gowns she wears. It's kinda like putting down the designers themselves, most of whom are from the Middle east.

Just because a dress or anything else is by a designer, does not mean it is automatically something 2 praise. It's probably better not 2 know the label in order 4 people 2 judge objectively. Every designer has their fair share of awful designs.

Brigitte
9 June, 6:03PM

I'm well aware of that but this dress is a far cry from cheap and tasteless. You want to judge objectively then do it right and don't base your judgement on the woman in the dress. I never said all of designers dresses are flawless but this is pretty toned down for haifa. So what if it has a v-neck? Big deal *yawn* I've seen worse.
Let's just say if someone else was wearing this dress people would be singing a different tune.

sam
9 June, 11:45PM

Didn't comment on the woman in the dress. I don't like Julia Roberts at all 4 instance but she has worn several elegant dresses & had some faux-pas. My ma sews so I have some knowledge about tafaseel. That dress in my objective opinion is vile. Cuts or openings infront behind on top wherever makes no diff...Looks more like a bedroom robe.

If u like it then fair enough il nas azwa2.

Brigitte
10 June, 3:57AM

When I mentioned that people based thier judgements on her gowns based on the fact that she is haifa wehbe I meant others, not you personally. Maybe I overreacted a tad, and I'm aware that everyone is entitled to thier own opinions. It's just that I noticed that even when haifa wears something classy she doesn't get any props because of who she is. When you used the word, 'vile' it implied that perhaps her dress was overtly sexual on her because of the v neck. At least that's what I got out of it. So I ask, what makes this dress vile if it isn't the cleavage?

sam
11 June, 4:08AM

Regardless of what I think about a woman respecting her body there's a popular notion that a beautiful dress should only ever expose legs, cleavage or midriff. This dress breaks all those rules (even if there’s nude coloured fabric).

I have always thought Haifa has chunky arms, (it being the only area she can’t have liposuction on) certainly in comparison to the rest of her body. And her thighs have had too much liposuction so she simply can’t get away with wearing every dress she likes; her body is not in proportion.

As she is almost 40 I think she ought to be more careful & leave something/s 2 the imagination. She should try more tailored outfits. She’s lucky coz she can get away with most colours, but that emerald green looks like wrapping paper on her. Either that or she just looks like a Christmas tree.

This dress manages to be too revealing yet too drowning, tight & wase3, open yet long. I don’t like the lack of consistency.
