Bahaa Kafi already did, Latifa has now moved in Lebanon and during Miss Lebanon I even saw Rym Saidi speaking perfect Lebanese. One could never tell she's a foreigner.

She is a beauty. But just that.
She had the most hypocrit personality at all.
She sings like a cat and she's arrogant.
It's not only looks that count.
Plus there are many natural beauties in Lebanon, and a lot more beautiful and nicer than her.
But this is not the issue
totally agree, a stunning wowen who sounds like a cat being violated! Resentment would occur if she was void of talent but successful, but she's not. She is still milking her 15 minutes of fame.
Also one needs to see her teen photos to determine whether she is a socalled natural beauty or not. I haven't so will not comment, because no one can tell these days, however there is nothing natural about the way she acts.

Moroccans r very pretty, they have by nature good features & nice skin tones. My personal opinion is that Lebs, Israelis, Syrians maybeeee Iraqis, Iranis...etc have common features like prominent noses sometimes coz of genetics, also there r similarities with the level & distribution of hair in men particularly in mid-ages. I believe every feature is unique; big small long wide whatever...it gives every person a certain character & a unique charm. When people go 4 plastic they have the same requirements; small nose, juicy lips smooth skin high brows blah blah boring clones. That Mariam Fares she looks 2 have kept her face as it should be (except 4 eyebrows) & eventhough she has a more prominent nose than your average singer I think she looks beautiful & it suits her perfectly- far more attractice than the plastics. Julia Roberts has a prominent nose- don't like her as a person at allllllll though but look where she reached (blockbuster crappy movies). Also that Buffy the vampire slayer & many more pretty girls have prominent noses & r more unique & attractive 4 it.
A person does not represent a nation & I don't really know anything about il bett Sophia but she looks like another ai kalam person bitbee3 ro7ha 2 the media. Morocco is a big population with variety so it has quality. Andddd Algerians r pretty too. Morocs & Algerians r not as EXPOSED by the Arab media as many of us are thus we don't get 2 see them much but it's better. The more i see the more i lose respect.

I used 2 have a Sofia or Sophia in my class. In her own words she was 'half muslim & half christian', that used 2 crack me up. She was a male magnet the silly tart. Those were the days, not. Once I was asked by a girl called Suzanna if i was 'half-Egyptian & half-Muslim'...and whether I could read hieroglyphics...oh the thickness never ends. Yallah rabinah yesahil lil gami3...
Didn't watch Star Academy back then, but I can say that she can't really sing that well. She is without a doubt, very pretty. But talent and character don't get a thumbs up from me.

lol... We don't have too many North African men here which is a shame really. For the one defending Sophia, I forgot to add that sometimes like I said she does sound like a cat being violated, however there are times when she's looking at the camera when she gives the impression she's looking for some poor man to violate :P. You know like many of her colleagues today in the "singing profession"...

Another feature I hated about Sofia, is the way she distanced herself totally from her Moroccan roots.
She sang French, acted French, spoken French dressed French.
Well nothing wrong, provided you give a share to the country you are representing. You were Sofia from Morocco, not Sofia the French wannabe.
Not a single Moroccan song, not once tried to speak Moroccan or Magrebine, though her compatriot Amin always did, and sometimes wore the traditional clothes.
If she did not speak French she always resorted to broken Lebanese dialect.
Though she hooked up with Bachar then with Michel she could not do something of her career.
I couldn't care less about her, but I wonder why the Moroccans are crazy about her.
If I had a Lebanese contestant in another country, not singing, nor behaving nor talking Lebanese, and with no talent, he/she would have none of my support.
I can't understand their standards of popularity.
