Recent research has shown that there are 8 divorce cases daily in Mecca and 12 in Medina! Psychiatric analyzers have decided to come up with an explanation to this and find the reasons. Some of them argued that there were economic causes that have lead to this phenomena, while others have blamed it on Lebanese singers Nancy Ajram and Haifa Wehbe! Of course you think this is outrageous but according to these analysts when a husband watches Haifa and Nancy ‘shake their things’ on TV along with all the other ‘video clip’ girls he tends to compare them with his wife.

It is hard to compare a lady that has probably had several kids and lives to care for her family with a woman, like Haifa or Nancy, who live to look good in order to appeal to their fans but the comparison still takes place, and because apparently –and this isn’t my opinion- Saudi women don’t bother to look good for their husbands, the wives fall short of looking like Nancy by miles. The result: The couples lose interest in each other which leads to a divorce! If you ask me, it’s unfair to compare ‘regular’ women to those you see on TV who have mostly been nipped, tucked or airbrushed!

i agree with some of your thoughts, it's an awful anal., if a man loves a women he should be able to understand her thoughts and her beauty just as she is not as someone elses, don't get me wrong but some men are just stupied they only see what they want to see with their eyes and not their heart and brain..EVERY women is beautiful in her own way and haifa and nancy are not the same in private life.. they show off because it's what makes them famous but in thier private life their just like everyone out their full of life...
i think thats bull crop, i mean another problem is that most marriages are arranged, that couldbe one of the reasons. Secondly, some men are really difficult, and some women as well. They had to look at peoples personality as well and the way they negotiate.

Utterly ridiculous. What kind of man can't differentiate from a woman in the entertainment world to an average woman at home? Haifa nor Nancy aren't to blame for this. It's men who have the audacity to compare a woman to lebanese singers when some of the time, they themselves aren't the most attractive either. If women should maintain thier looks in a marriage so should the men. It should never be one-sided in a marriage.

I agree that high expectations can lead to a decline in the relationship if the couple possess low relationship skills. A strong foundation would have survived such a dismal reason for a marriage breakup.
It seems easy to get married, and easier to divorce nowadays.
I believe reasons such the husband comparing Haifa and others to his wife whom he finds lacking, are mere catalysts and not the real triggers for the relationship breakdown.
It is so easy to blame our short comings on others, in this case "Lebanese singers".

I just noticed Mia's comments this morning (it was morning here), but didn't have time to comment on it. I have always thought that this socalled "mathal" is pathetic. This kind of prejudiced, offensive, judgemental and generalising comment was completely unnecessary. It is always fascinating what some people view as sexy. I mean Haifa I see as sexy, and Nancy is cute however is she sexy???

For me, beautiful is a word that I would imply to anyone who has a great character. A character that has a story full of ups and downs. A character that stand firm and strong in their position.
For me the first person that comes to my mind is the Queen of Jordan. Look at how great she is; smart, hard-working and determined to succeed and make a difference in helping people. Such a strong character. There should be more people like her around.
