Shams

After undeniable success with her hit single and video clip, "Ahlan Izayak?", and one of the most aggressive advertising campaigns this side of Rotana (Latifa, eat your heart out! ), Shams is getting ready to release her latest video. Her new album, which pioneered with an Egyptian dialect CD and a Khaliji dialect CD in one album, was produced by Surprise Entertainment (from the USA), and distributed by ARM and Mirage Records. With 23 tracks in "Shams 2007", Shams had a big selection to choose from, but she chose the romantic song, "Ghamadt Eineik".

"Ghamadt Eineik" is written by Baha' El Din Mohamed and composed by Mohamed Diya'. The video clip was shot by another French director, Stephan Leonardo, in three days at the grand Le Palais theater in Paris. In less reliable but notable news, according to mazika.com, the video will revolve around drug abuse and its effect on relationships, both romantic and familial. Melody TV has already begun the routine advertising for such a highly-anticipated video clip. I hope it will be as great a production as "Ahlan Izayak?", which definitely push the boundaries of what an Arabic video clip can be.
