Last Friday 18 beautiful Lebanese girls were introduced to the world as the contestants of this year's Miss Lebanon beauty pageant.
The prime was a showcase of beauty & of music; the judges were 10 previous Miss Lebanon queens & the guest was Lebanese pop star Rami Ayach.
After welcoming the stunning judges, Tony Baroud, the host of the pageant, introduced the 18 girls ... They are:
- Candrella Eid, 19 years old
- Gretta Habib, 23 years old
- Jessy Hashem, 19 years old
- Joy Salameh, 19 years old
- Laurice Matteh, 21 years old
- Manal Abou Haydar, 23 years old
- Nadine Njeim, 19 years old
- Sacha Dahdouh, 20 years old
- Sara Kheirallah, 21 years old
- Christelle Khouri, 19 years old
- Jessica Abou Dames, 19 years old
- Josette Qabalan, 18 years old
- Laudy Khouri, 18 years old
- Maha Khouri, 22 years old
- Maya Fakhri, 24 years old
- Pauline Alexanian, 22 years old
- Sahar Sbeiti, 19 years old
- Stefani Saab, 20 years old
Now, by next Friday each two girls will be trained by one of the previous queens. They will learn exactly how to walk & talk among other things.
Next Friday is the final night, one contestant will be chosen as Lebanon's most beautiful girl for 2007 & will be crowned by Miss Lebanon 2005-2006 Gabrielle Bou Rashed.
This year, the pageant goes back to its classical self; the judges will be choosing the queen. Based on how the candidates look, carry their self, answer questions & behave ... 1 queen & 2 runner-ups will be chosen.

This is so annoying. The last time I watched Miss Lebanon was in 2000 when Sandra Rizk won. I was looking forward to watching it this year until my reciever decided not to work. Does anyone out there know a website that I can watch the videos? Also, is anyone else struggling with signing up for the actual Miss Lebanon website?

Except for only two or three, the rest range from plain to horrid, let alone many stupid answers.

Well maybe this year the actual deserving girl will win, as opposed to previous years where there are many gorgeous girls, but one of the less deserving is crowned.
There are four that are allright.
I wonder too where the beautiful girls are. I always thought the huge prize money is more than an incentive for anyone.

honestly i was shocked ..i think they brought who is rich or have someone behind her to make her one of the contasted ..shaaaaaaame
most beautiful girls ? . none of them is truly astonishing. i was very disappointed . especially when they asked the girls questions, it showed how selfish they are. they asked one girl if you had 3 wishes what would you wish for , she said," i wish to be successful, i wish to have good connections, and to take off my high heels now. " hello ? who said the world revolves around you ? .. i mean she should have said world peace, an end to hunger.. but taking off her heels now ? they asked another girl if you could meet anyone in the world, who would you meet, she said," i would meet an american director cuz i love acting.. " WHAT THE HELL ! . again the world doesnt revolve around you .. i can go on and on about the stupidity of these girls. nadine njeim seems the most qualified i guess. but if it was up to me i would cancel the show.

today I was shopping around Jounieh, and I spotted at least 10 gorgeous women, apart from extremely cute women and girls on the streets, the less attractive of which is way cuter than most of the contestants.
I mean, geez, many have facial hair, plastic surgeries that went wrong, or in dire need of a plastic surgery. One (Joy) is way too short to apply for a beauty contest and almost everyone have very bad skin when shown on the dailies with no make up on!
Lebanon is full of beautiful women of all types: dark, blondes, redheads, natural, artificial, tall, petite, slim etc... I cannot see why not the best make it to Miss Lebanon?
This year the misses aren't very beautiful.

Some girls looked really bad in their dresses and make up was for some of them a problem too.
(Nothing againts Lebanese girls;). I really think Lebanon has better contestants to offer.
