After the end of the latest season of Star Academy their has been a lot of time for contemplation as to why this season was so successful. I bring it down to one thing they took advantage of the students pain and delicate emotions. Amel is the best example, her affection for Ahmed was milked for all its worth then Marwa was pushed into it to play the jealousy card and the SMS went crazy.
Taking Advantage of Their Pain!
Ratings shot up when Mohammed told Tina he used to have feelings for her and people kept sending in SMS’s telling Tina she isn’t good for him and when it hurt her they put out her tears on display. I think it’s sad that for money people exploit such fragile people’s emotions. This season gave the viewers: romance, jealousy, rivalry, bad-mouthing and more and the result was that it was the most successful season since the beginning of the show. Do you think this was the primary reason for success or is there something else that I may have overlooked?

i agree 100% and i think ahmed was part of the whole amal and marwa thing....as in i think lbc told him to act so that the ratings will go high.
i think its right too,, but also i think SALLY was a big part of it,,, coz she is the 1 who always made the academy fresh and not boring,, if u all remember when she was out, the second day the academy was sooooooooooo boring man,,,
anyways i think 100% this season was the most successful..

yes I thing sally was a big part but in acting jumping and crying in front of the cameras!!! and she never make me laugh this girl!!!!
How About taking advantage of Shada when they provoked her and made her the bad one?
Sally started insulting her for nothing, but they just showed Shada 's rage against her..Same with carlo, same with Marwa diet who was lying all the time about her eating.Then, they redisplayed the cute things, as they call it, & replayed Shada 4 scenes of rage in 4 months

but starac 4 was the best.Sally very cute, Shada a very qualified star, Marwa good lover stealer, Tina good dancer, Carlo very uncute..we missed Dany

I agree season 4 was the first season that i watched in its entirety, taped, obsessed over, etc. Yes, the drama was a large part of why i watched the show but lets not forget the students were very talented. I mean come on, they're voices weren't the best but Star Academy is NOT based completely on their voices. There's acting, dancing, style, looks, etc. that plays a large role in the ratings of the show. Marwa and Shaza had very nice voices, Ammah was a composer/song writer, Sally was a an all around very talented girl and a pleasure to watch (i lost interest after she left), Tina was also excellent, i did not see 1% of fake in her, Carlo had a great voice, Danny should've never left his voice was also great, and so on. Let's not take away the credit of their talents and focus on it drama that people all around the world loves anyway!
guyz come on stop refering marwa as a stealer plzz..............ahmed was acting in front of them and now the season iz over so forget abt it coz i bet he did a long time ago......by arguing abt if he loves marwa or amal over n over again that wont suddenly make the answer pop out on the screen so forget abt it......i bet we all have better things to do. c ya
season 3 was the best because of chima and now season 4 was the best because of marwa she was the reason i got glued to the tv screen 24/7 she is a girl with beauty, the most soulful voice and stainless manner. i liked imad, ammha and carlo as well. as far as shaza goes she is a " town crier" i don't know if can use the term for a women but she sings like one. her manners were disgraceful. that is all i can say about her .and as for ahmed he propably end up with someone like him someone so twisted like him. good ridness, for marwa sake.and she didn't steal or take anybody away from any one. she treated ahmed as her freind that is all. so amel wants him she can have him, he is all hers. pure hearted people like marwa belong to pure hearted people .i am sure she will ends up with someone as sweet as her.
This season was definetly the best because there was definetly the best voice Star academy brought to the program since it started which is Shada...her voice is just amazing...I love her voice...people wake up...when u look at a singer you hear the voice not the way they live in life..and Obviously Shada had the voice...a respectful personality annd more than that...a heart full of love for her country and real friends and family

when i first watched star academy 4 i was like wat the ???? they are soo diff then star academy 3 students ... but later on as i started watching it i got sooo attached to it... and i use to watch it cuz of ahmad marwa sally and shaza!! they were my fav. and when ever they use say marwa and ahmad on the dailies iwas like this should be interseting.... wanted to see wat was ahmad and marwa doingggg.. didnt like amal though!!!!!! she cried al ot
hi all! i agrre that thi season was the best...but starac3 was also good. in thos season ( i mean 4) i liked a lot amal she is a lovely girl with a big heart she was also talented if ahmed didnt appear in her life she would go very far and the proof is that now the only condidate of the four years who became so famous b4 the programm finished and we saw her in many tv channels.i used also to like marwa+sally+shada+kammah. for starac3 i used to like zouzou+hanae a lot.good luck all...
Am sorry, but is this show becoming big brother. i think we should have a big brother version show in the arab world. It would be jokes.
Yeah i agree with these little dramas to get our pocket money. i mean before, the seasons had no such action. in starac 3, they did a bit. But 4, they went nuts.

I completely agree with the writer. Star Academy isn't just about singing, but also entertainment. Whether it's on the stage, or behind the cameras. It's all entertainment. That's the clever thing about lbc, they know how to play the game right. When you watch the dailies, it's always the big events that they highlight such as the fights. They make so much focus on the drama that goes on.
It's also really mis-leading. For example, Tina is always picture in the good light. Whereas, Shaza is always pictured in the bad light. But we all know that no one can be that good, and no can be that bad. Everyone is a mix of both, and that's when they give us the wrong impression of certain individuals. They are not like that all the time, it's just they focus on the "big events" that took place. They are not like that for the whole 4 months!
My favourites are:
SALLY habibat qalby, Imad, Qammah, Marwa and Tina. I love them alot and I wish them the best and I hope that we see them successful in the Art Business.
Marwa is not a stealer...dont u have eyes? ahmed loved her as a friend as a sister as a lover whatever but he loved her because of her manners and attitude ...arab world dont like those dare girls like amal and dont say she expresses her feelings...she begs others feelings

first of all i liked starc 3 more because everyone cared about each others more.. like when joe won? rakya jumped and huged him even tho Hahi was from her country and he lost but she showed everyone one its doesnt matter what country joe is im still happy for him..
now starc 4 when shatha won i was happy for her not because shes from iraq but her voice made her win.. now remember when she won they only student that came to hug her was ali, maraw, and ahmad..
what about sally! or tina! or kma7! ect..
there was no friendship whats soo ever no body cared about no one thats why starc 4 had some stock up ppl. they were selfish.. thay ask sally were u happy when shatha won she was like yeahh i was but if kma7 would won i couldnt been more happy!! r u serious guy do u really wanna watch ppl like that.. Sally she is a very honest person and she said what her heart told her, what she felt and she didn't want to lie.
Now she said the truth why you are making big deal if she would have said she is happy that shata won , you would have said she is lying.
She siad that coz KAmmah also deserved the title ,becoz kammah was one of his close friend and secondly he is from Egypt too, If you were in her place what would you have done!

There wasn't a lot of love and caring in this season, unlike the other seasons.
I felt ammah was very desperate to win the title,cause he goes to his friend one day, i'll give you my $19000, just vote for me. there were other ponts as well, but i can't remember. I always had this awkward feeling towards him. Last seasons, they weren't very grouped like his season. I mean you had marwa, ali, ahmad, shatha and amal sort of together. And sally, carlo, ammah, tina together. That made their relationships worse.
Jay you are right, especially about the hugging business. And it was so nice last year, everyone was happy for each other.
forget you sally has the biggest and best carrier ahead of her just because shada won doesnt mean she is gonna be the best in most peoples opinion shada may sing well but her attitude and personality is trash period end of story end of Discussion
Hii to all. I agree shada has very good voice, don't forget she was 26 years and was singing before in Morocco. But I don't agree that she won. Why she did not get more than 80% over sally if all iraqis, some saudi, morrocan and khalijis voted for her.. The final prime was a game played by LBC and America. Which was not fair, I feel that by votes its either Marwa or Ammah who won and not shada but by politics they made Shada. Be wise and think of it wisely how the game was played by LBC and the Media on Iraq - Shada Iraqi girl etc..
yea this was def. the best season... it was the first season i watched all the daily and the PRIMES the other best season was season one because i used to watched the primes but as for the rest i ddint care as much for....i loved this season for one CARLO he is the best guy and is sooo cute and we all love him..also SALLY she was the only girl i like thought all of star academy and i was upsesed with her...then came tina, ammah, and imad...I LOVE THEIR GROUP their group made me stuck to the tv and the internet...i didnt really pay that much attention to the rest..amal got annoying crying all the time..ahamd cheating on 2 gurls (marwah better then amal)...aly no comment him and shadah were the only 2 kind of on their own.. cuz the 5 that i love were together and ahmad amal and marawh..then aly and shada just kind of listen the prob.. shada(try to make probs)
