The 1st prime of the new show Album on MBC has left a very good impression on me!
It turns out, that it isn't an imitation of the show 'Making The Band'! But an interesting new concept. The presenter is Razan Mughrabi. The guest of honor tonight was AbdulMajeed Abdullah.
Through-out 3 months, 3 groups 'teams' will compete. Each team is made up of 5 members & they have a manager & a coach.
They also have composers that are responsible for composing a song, a 'New Hit' each week for each team.
There are two primes each week, one on Friday & the second on Saturday, which is sort of a results show. The results come after audiences from around the world vote for their favorite team, giving them immunity.
Casting for the program will stay open during the 3 months & new team members will join the team as needed.
As for the groups 'teams':
- 1. Gulf: Manager: Yagoub Khubaizi - Coach: AbdulAziz Hadhud - Team Members: 1. Faisal from Kuwait 2. Hamad from Bahrain 3. Mohammad from Saudi Arabia 4. Badria from Oman 5. Walid from Yemen.
- 2. East: Manager: Ayman Dahabi - Coach: Leslie Aql - Team Members: 1. Ihab from Iraq 2. Fatina from Lebanon 3. Mirelle from Syria 4. Ammar from Palestine 5. Mohammad from Jordan.
- 3. North Africa: Manager: Tamer AbdulMuneim - Coach: Ghada Shber - Team Members: 1. Muna from Morocco 2. Sami from Libya 3. Nourhan from Egypt 4. Khaled from Sudan 5. Sara from Tunisia.
The composers are from the three regions, Nasser Al Saleh, Tareq Abou Jawdeh & Mahmoud Khaiami. Each week they take turns in composing a song for each team.
By the end of each Friday prime, Razan asks each team to name their weakest member ... But the final decision is for the manager to make & reveal on Saturday.
Tonight the weakest member of each team was:
Hamad from The Gulf
Fatina From The East
Sami from North Africa
Basically, I enjoyed the 1st prime, although I thought it was a bit too long!

omgg i saw a bit of the first prime and i was like the hell???? and omggg the ppl... look soo scareyyyy adn tehy cant sing.. it wasboring... and yeh LULU, thats wast i thought they are tryinh to be like star academy... NOPE THATS NOT GONNA HAPPEn... like i luv razan shes a good hott... but not the show hate it alredy

Honestly, I just finished watching the show, all I can say is...what the heck is this? What a horrible show, and their talents are horrible, they are all so ugly. MBC could do so much better, and they are trying to copy Star Academy it seems. I don't think the show will do well. The only teams that had okay voices was the African and Lebanese, the khaleeji band were horrible, what bad talents. They are so ugly and they have such bad voices. Star Academy and Superstar are way better shows and they have better talents. MBC is one of the best channels but with these type of shows they put on like ALBUM need to stop because their talents are horrible and they won't succeed. I highly doubt this show will succeed. The judges on this show are too good to be on a show like this and same for the composers and mentors, also Razan she has always presented good shows but this one is so lame and boring and no talent whatsoever, that's my opinion on this show.
They should have voted out most of the bands members to have half way decent show next time around...they did terrible casting job.
The idea itself is out of place. Since when we had a tradition or even acceptance of a musical band? I can't think of any Arab band (except 2 Moroccan ones) that succeeded or stayed around for a while.
Money, lights, decor and beautiful host wont make a successful show.

This is a retarded show. And tunisian WAMA and MTM are two very well known bands. especially wama. you should listen to WAMA they are soo amazing and they all have to most amazing skills. By the way there initals stand for Wadood , Ahmad Fahmy, Mouhamad, Ahmad Shamy. Wadoods real name is nadeem but he likes wadood. some really popular songs are ya ghaly alaya, ya leil, da kalam and much more. you can find them on thier officail site or at 6arab.net or 6arab.com. they are egyptian. MTM is more of a casual comedian band. one funny song is Ommy Mey Sayra

Wow!!! and i thought star aca. students couldnt sing. these are beyond patheticness. the show is too long and too many boring reportages. I like razan alot and her green dress was so beautiful. the singers terrible coudnt stand one of them. and if u watched 2day how teh palistinian, ammar sang after tehy said he was teh weakest he forgot more than half teh words. and y r the contestants so old. we want pretty young people. their sound system was so mesed up they had to trade mikes and we couldnt hear their voices and oh my god teh africa group none of teh girls can sing i almost dies watching the show. anyway i doubt im gonna watch it again i was really angry at the outcome although teh stage is beautiful and a lot of work was put into it
This is not like star academy it has a much bigger budget and it's not "europeanised" like star academy the same producer made it he made star academy 1 (the best one) and he's the same as mission fashion miss lebanon and dalle3 siyyartak so it's bigger and better than star academy

i think the show is not bad.. but lots of money was spent in it, the idea is not new , and nothing realy new in it, i like the south africa team, they do have a good voices. wish them luck
Yeah LOTS of money was spent but the concept is very new the managers and stuff have a big job to do and no one other than Rony Jazzar (the producer) thought of it before

i think that girl named wafa in hte eastern group is hte same wafa from staracademy 1 who left after the first prime saying she was pregnant wich i didint believe at that time because she is married and abviously her hsuband didnt want her ot be kissed and hugged by the other candidats anyway she looks like her anybody seen her?
album rocks ...but i think ppl gotta give them more time ...and they will be better and better ...cuz its about everything ....not like staracademy ...only about couples ... and they dont care about no voices...lets be honest...they only get 3 or 4 ppl got a nice voice and the rest not that much just to get money out of them and sell their emotion ...but album its better its showes u their talent only they dont go in ther personal emotion at all ...cuz they care for their talent ...and how to show it not ...how to sell their stories...
