Many of you may not know of the hit American TV show ‘Making the Band’ which aired on MBC4 for a while. The show was created and run by P. Diddy, he brought several girls and trained them to dance and sing, then eventually he eliminated a few every week until at then end of a few seasons he created a band. Now when I saw the commercials for MBC 1’s new show ‘Album’ which airs tonight I couldn’t help but wonder: is it another imitation of a western show?

I may be wrong in my assumption but the idea of bringing different bands to compete in order to create one exclusive band at the end sounds strangely similar, however, it may be an original idea we will just have to wait till tonight! I sure hope I am wrong for my own sake and yours, we all saw what happened when MBC1 attempted to imitate ‘Pimp My Ride’ and the outcome ,in my opinion, wasn’t so good. So will you be watching Album and do you think it will be just another imitation??
