Shaun Ellis Takes on the Wild

Shaun Ellis

Imagine being so committed to your job that you would live with wolves for 18months. Well that’s exactly what Shaun Ellis did when he wanted to learn more about wolf society. Shaun explained to the Insider why he felt this was necessary
"There was very little known about the internal workings of wolf packs and about their intricate language that they have with one another and some of the secrets that we badly needed to help them in the wild,”

Apparently as much as Shaun learned from the three abandoned Wolf cubs he lived with they learned from him too, for he acted as a teacher educating them on how to fend for themselves in the wild. It is important to note that by ‘living with them’ we mean he growled, like himself and ate raw meat and that according to him he never felt in danger. As expected the 18 months that Shaun lived with the wolves affected him making him detached from the world and his family for several weeks.

The thing I want to know is weather he did this because he wanted to learn, or because he wanted to be on TV?

Have you not heard of Dian Fosse? Jane Goodall?

A life driven by passion for nature...and not the materialistic pursuits of society seem to be a concept few can relate to.

I ask, instead of presenting this material from such a marred point of view...Fancy it, imagine it, step out of the constraints of the box, the world belongs to all of us..and some really do care about truly understanding and educating if not only themselves..but the world to the REALITY that we (all living creatures) belong to this world.

A tough concept for many who have next door neighbors they never see or consider...I expect perhaps you may be one of those.

I watched the documentary on National Geographic and I don't care how much some one wants to be "on TV" they are not going to go through the things that Shaun Ellis lived through just for TV. His life decisions prove a true dedication to the life, preservation and persuit of knowledge. To help the species that he is passionate about.
We volunteer as foster parents for a local dog rescue and things that we have seen, the utter selfishness and lack of dedication to anything other than self is appalling.
I admire and cherish everything that this man is doing and accusing him of only doing it for "TV" just shows the shallowness and lack of dedication or passion to anything other than self that invades so many in society.
The reason for doing this on television is to promote awareness and hopefully pull at least a few out of their ever so self-centered lives and hopefully get them to care about something else enough to actually get off of there tails and do something constructive!
