Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoghbi has left Mohsen Gaber’s Alam El Phan/Mazzika production company after releasing her latest album, Yama Alou. Nawal, after weeks of speculation, has confirmed her signing of a contract with Rotana AudioVisual.
This came as a shock to the music business after Nawal’s bitter departure from Rotana a few years ago when she released her album, Toul Omri. Nawal became one of the first on the Rotana “blacklist”, joining her are names like Ragheb Alameh, Khaled Agag, Assi El Hellani, and rumor has it Mohamed Fouad and Amr Diab very soon. Three albums later, Nawal says she has “grown up” and likes what Rotana has to offer her as an artist.
