Carole Samaha has returned to the stage after a 4 year absence in which she grew artistically as a singer. While most people know Carole for her singing talents, and her latest album "Adwa El Shuhra" has only made her more famous, Carole's roots lie in the Rahbani stage. And so to her roots she has returned.
The play, "Zenobia", follows the life of the historical female figure and her struggle in a male-dominated world. Written by Mansour Rahbani, the play has premiered in Dubai with hopes of an inter-Middle East tour. Osama Rahbani, also a Star Academy teacher, has expressed his hopes for a showing in Lebanon but says that there is currently no theater large enough to accommodate the needs of such a high-value production. Osama also mentioned that Latifa was initially offered the leading role but her musical duties prevented her from participating in such a demanding project. And so Carole was called and she gladly accepted the role.
It is also worth noting that Carole's latest video clip for her Egyptian-dialect song, "Eatazalt El Hob" has just begun airing on Melody Television.
