Why do you think that Moroccan student Amal Al Anbari wasn't chosen to be in the Star Academy 2007 tour?
Could it be that she refused to go on it because Ahmad is one of the participants?
Or did Mme Rola just not include her in the tour for no reason? Or is there not going to be a concert in Morocco this year?

I don't think that Amal should have replaced Imad on the tour. Imad deserves his spot. Amal should've replaced Sally. And if Madame Roula wanted Sally to be on tour that bad she should've just added Amal to the list. I mean she added Imad as the 9th person, what difference would it make if she added Amal as the 10th.

guys i talked to amal yetserday and she said that staracademy never asked her to come on the tour..figures they would do that but poor girl also said that she doesnt have a contract with rotana....but she did tell me that she wants to sharek ma staracademy maureb so i hope she makes it....
i really liked amal alot and wanted her to be on the tour but she herselfsaid that staracademy didnt ask her to join them so its there loss not hers.

Amal should be in the tour and that's the bottom line. Even if she doesn't replace Imad. She should replace Sally then. Or Ahmad. But the bottom line is even if you do like Imad:
Amal got more votes then Imad
Amal stayed longer then Imad
Amals voice is a bit better too
Therefore there is no excuse to put Imad in the tour and not Amal. They both deserve it okay but there is no rule that says the tour can't be 10 people. If there is then Amal takes priority over Imad.
Ayoub should be in there instead of Ahmad or Sally too.

Once again, Amal's obsessive fans are out in force. If you want Amal on the tour, then call or write the show. There's no need bashing the other candidates. That's probably why Roula decided against Amal - too many of her fans became rude and nasty to the other candidates and also called her dirty names. Imad really was not so much of a gentlemen he was kind of rude and definitley short tempered. He got in way more fights then Shaza. Second of all he did not step aside for Amal. Tina said that she went back stage and told him that she was going to vote for Amal and then Imad said it's okay. He did NOT tell anyone to vote Amal! Imad has weaker votes then Sally Ali, and Ahmad so no, he would not have made it to the finals because Marwa is the real Tunisian representative this year. Ali voted Amal because it was her first nomination and Imads second and that is why he saved Amal. There is no way Imad would have made the finals. He has weak votes and though he had a good voice it's not nearly as good as Marwa. Besides Imad would ruin it for Marwa if they both got to the finals and Marwa is a WAY better singer then Imad.
But I still think Imad still deserves to be in the tour WITH AMAL. Imad is better then Carlo in arabic lol.

Chill out. Marwa might win this year actually. Besides just because no one from il maghreb has won doesn't mean starac didn't help them when they were out. Take Ahmad el Sheriff for example. Besides someone from maghreb il arabi is in the finals just about every year.
Besides. Starac maghreb will not have all cultures like starac middle east. It won't be as diverse.

I think that Amal is really good and everything and I kind of wanted her to be in the tour, but the thing is that Imad should not have left that soon and the teachers do know that. I really wish that we didn't get to this point. I thought that 1 starac for all Arabs should be the best way to go...we all had faith...but it's a shame.
No Yezen there will NOT be any participant form the Maghreb in starac lbc next year. The contract between Qarwi& Qarwi and the original starac owners prohibits starac lbc from including participants form the Maghreb also from benefiting financially and that's why there is not a single phone line this year for any of the Maghreb countries... go to starac lbc website and check it yourself.

Ok everyone should relax with the animosity....so ok they have some ppl in the tour that dont have the greatest voices (sally and ahmad) but ppl love them and they have a presence on stage and in the academy and imad deserves to be in the tour bc we all know he's a great singer and a great performer and a great guy. Now amal is my personal favorite and it killed me when she left bc they basically gave her her time to shine then when it was over with the whole ahmad/amal story they left her out in the cold which everyone knows is wrong, even if you hate her. she had a good voice and a good presence on stage and worked hard among the others and made up her own 2 songs (which i think are very good) so i personally think that it was wrong for the academy and madam roula to not choose amal along with the 9 and make them 10 and thats that. thanks :)

Sorry one more thing. Reem didn't go in the Tour last year because they have a reason. This year it's Amal but still today we didn't see the reason. Why is Amal not in the Tour. They have no reason at all. If they decided to take more than eight than be fear and take Imad an Amal because both of them deserve it.
To the people who said because Amal will follow Ahmad she will not. She loved a person who doesn't deserve her love, but that's ok we all do mistakes and we do learn from them. I hope thats not true. Star academey middle east is a combination of the entire arab world. It is a much better program then starac maghreb because starac maghreb is exclusive to only il maghreb.

Don't live your life through TV personalities like Amal. Also, when you are diappointed with something, show some dignity. Hold your head high and move on. Madam Rola said the votes of the people for the students made her choice,but i cant understand how Amal whow got 33% of voting is out and Tina who got the least voting since Star academy started 4 years ago which is 8% is in the tour.if as Madam Rola said voting counts Tina shouldnt be in the tour and if it is for singing English Shatha and Carlo have proved they sing better than her and this is what Osama Rahbani told Shatha that it is wonderful when a person can sing in Arabic ,English ,Spanish ,Italian and French in the same power and wonderful way.So i beleive Sally earned her place coz she is cute and pretty and Amal should be in the tour instead of Tina.

Sorry, DD: I do not have, nor have I EVER had a grudge against Amal. I like the girl. And Amal came to Marwa's defense and said you were wrong and to stop it. So, the answer to your question is YES. I HAVE seen Amal fans try to destroy Marwa because Ahmad didn't love Amal. Sorry. As I've said, I like Amal...and I believe she and Marwa are friends. I wish Amal was on the tour, in fact...BUT I DON'T like the way her fans have acted towards others.
I think many injustices have happened this year but the biggest one is that Amal is not in the tour. I believe the least Mme Rola could have done is give the people an explanation as to why she wasn't included. This girl has written many beautiful songs, helped everyone around her, had a lot of potentential and was the subject of MORE THAN HALF the starac dailies. She had so much going on for her and in a matter of 2 weeks, the administrators managed to ruin her image and get her out. They flushed her for absolutely no reason except, rumor has it, money and greed. For god's sake, her name was almost never mentionned again and her goodbye video never shown. She was totally neglected and her BIG fanbase was never taken into consideration. And when I say fanbase, they don't just come from north Africa but also from all over the arab world and the world. And believe it or not, we are also Lebanese.
But I guess who cares when money conquers all....right?
P.S. For those of you who are saying that she will make the tour boring because of her crying.....do you honestly believe she will go on stage and just cry. You guys just say things to say things. Why ever use your brain.

That is the completely wrong. Just because your friends and people you know voted for Imad does not mean he is most popular. Did you by any chance check how many people voted for him in Kuwait? They all vote Ahmad in Kuwait. Sorry Imad was not the most popular just because a few people in your community voted for him.

Since i'm syrian and there were no syrians in star ac this year im not rooting for them cuz of wehere they're from Amal got really annoying she coul've stayed longer if she got over her obsessive infatuation with Ahmed it was pathetic. Basically the reason why thy treated amal so badly is becoz, whn amal applied to star academy LBC she also applied to star academy Magreb encase she was not accepted in star academy lbc. But the funny thing is that whn amal got in star academy lbc and the show started, will guess wat she was accepted for star academy maghreb as well. And there started a row between star academy lbc and maghreb. whn star academy maghreb saw that amal got alot of fans and that she might be a star, thy decided to sue lbc. However the row was concluded, by kicking amal out of the academy, and lbc was told that thy were not allowed to show the grls songs like the rest of students and she was not allowed to be invited to any concert parties the students have to go on (meaning the tour). None of the 5 countries that make up the Maghreb Al Arabi will participate in the starac lbc next year and maybe you don't know the area well enough you think that starac Maghreb will lack verities...try to watch it you will see how Al Maghreb Alarabi is diverse and rich (musically and culturally in general). I personally will prefer keep having participants in lbc too at least we will have a chance to listen to people who actually can sing and look beautiful in the same time.

I have read an interview with Ghazi Al Qarwi the owner of Nessma TV that bought the right of starac Maghreb from the European parent company...and because it's franchise it's based on territories...so lbc can't benefit financially (which the only thing they care about anyway) form the Maghreb area and vise-versa.(I'll try to find the interview for you )
It's sad indeed but if LBC people thought that we will keep eating their crap...they were mistaken...nevertheless I believe it will be so great to see two successful shows for our young hopefuls.

Everything produced in the show or related to the show is solely owned by the show not the candidate...the same goes with Mohammad the songs he has done are not his property anymore they belong to the show except the ones he did before or after the show.
Everything is explained to the candidates and signed by them before even getting into the show.
Amal and Mohammad made those songs but they are not their properties.

hi, first of all guys besides amal having a nice voice or not she stayed one more week after imad, so she should be in the tour and then they could have added imad at the list after her, but apparently madame roula has some problems either with amal personaly or with the country itseld, if anyone from star ac is readind these messages i just wanna tell lbc and star ac makers that poeple lost trust in them, and now know that star ac is just a stupid show looking for pleasing their pockets, i'am moroccan, i'am proud of all maghrebins, amal,marwa,shatha, imad but very desappointed form stra ac makers, and i think i'll never watch that again, i better watch super star at lesat they are honest.

Hey guys. Im sooooo happy with the people chosen to go on the tour. We all have to move on about the whole amal thing, coz she wasnt that good of a singer really. You have to listen to somebody sing when there is no backup music, and amal does not have that good a voice in the situation.
Plus, the people they bring on the tour arnt always the best singers, they are the most popular. Because above all, starac is a tv show aimed at making money, and with the more popular people on the tour, more people will go! Not that amal didnt have a big audience, but others had bigger.
Also, when do they release the dates for the tour, coz i need to know to book a flight to go to beirut? Coz really, they make the one in beirut 100times better then anywhere else for some reason. They should really bring the tour out to Australia, where there is a huge fan base for the show.
Plus, VOTE FOR SHADA!!!! Thank god she didnt go coz she has to WIN. She is a fighting voice to all of out iraqi brothers and sisters.

i thought madam rola said that the tour contestents dont have to be the last 8, she could pick any one from the ninteenth participant although they got out early, so i thought this is will be a good idea and also fair for the contestents whom got out early to have another chance, for me i think AMAL really deserve to be in the tour, she really has a nice voice eventhought i did not like her, but to be fair, she is better than Ali, Ahmad, Sally, Imad, and tina, she really deserve to be in the tour. like last year they put Mya in the tour eventhough she did not deserved it, just because she dances, and sings in english and french, the same like tina this year.also iman and dany deserve to be in the tour.
I think that the jury wanted Imed to be saved by the votes of Sally and Tina during the prime but they they changed their minds at the last moment. Perhaps that Imed would have gone untill final because he's a good singer. Altough Dany has a nice voice and he was nominated. It's all a big commercial program with too much ennoying publicity and I seriously think that Tina and Dany got out just so that Libanese voites won't be devided and that Carlo get the chance to win. Shada or Marwa will win inshalah because I want a girl to win for once and Amal is a hard worker and if she really want to get to the top she can because she's tall, beautifull, has a nice figure and the rest is just playback and marketing!!!!!!!!!!

Marwa is lazy? ha! She's the BEST entertainer on the show and is MUCH more natural on stage than the other finalists (Tina was also natural on stage). Shatha sings beautifully...Mohammed and Carlo are good singers, but are very stiff on stage. The boys look like deers caught in a car's headlights when they are in front of a crowd - even the teachers say so. You could see this when they sang alongside Massari. They can overcome this over time, I am sure. All the students have their special talents. I am very proud of Marwa's accomplishments over these past few months. Amazing for such a young girl! Good luck to her and all the others! I hope they all have an abundance of success and happiness.
To AMAL FANS: Keep up your campaign with Mme. Roula and perhaps she will give in. However, if she doesn't, Amal shouldn't sit and wait for something to come to her - she should get out and make her success. Since she has a loyal fan base, she can do well for herself if she wants it very much and works very hard - just like anyone else in the entertainment business. It is a business with lots of rejection and disappointments, so she has to be a strong person and keep focused. Good luck to her.

Please stop making up stories about amal. What is this non-sense about starac megrebe suing starac Middle East and that is why amal is out??? Merwa also applied there and I saw on Nessma TV the candidates wishing merwa good luck and singing for her. One of amal’s fun might have post is on panet or whatever the site was. You guys said after she left the academy she got a contract from Rotana, and she is going to be big star and she doesn’t need LBC and some other staff. Now someone is saying I talk to her and she got no contract whatsoever- if one of you guys made the rotana contract thing up then …shame on you because this might be the reason why LBC did not contact her you know she doesn’t need it because she has a “contract” instead lets give a chance to some one else. Please Please stop making up stories about her - You are really hurting the girl …just shut up about her or any other contestant if you are not sure of what is going on and just give your opinion about their performance or whatever
To yezen : I usually agree with your comments 120% but get of Imad’s back. When he is on a stage I feel like dancing all the time he is a great performer, the primes he participated where my favorite one’s he was very great. Glad he is back even if the sacrifice is Amal.

People should join where ever they want. And you also said the music they produce at the academy is LBC’s property are you sure??? So many stupid laws right? Even though I am not from megrebe region , my favorites contestant from academy 3 and 4 happens to be Tunisians. (shaima and imad) And I tought I would enjoy Nessema but the people have the same kind of personality it is kind of boring; they even put music in the middle. It is nothing like starac Middle East.

1)- All what has been produced in, for or because of starac is their property just because if not for starac those songs will not be produced or have that huge exposure for people to hear and like them.
Every contract a student receives needs to be approved by starac of course making sure they get their piece of the pie. It's a commercially driven show.
2)- As for Satarac Maghreb you are right it doesn't look like LBC's and it's boring if you like starac Lbc
* There is no 24h Chanel they don't even offer this option.
* There are no cameras in the girls bedroom.
* Candidates don't stay together over night boys have a different sleeping residence than the girls.
* Satarac Maghreb didn't just go ahead and start with primes and elimination no they actually convinced the show parent owner to change the rules to provide for 5 weeks of training, couching, evals and mini primes before getting to main primes and eliminations to give all students a chance to benefit from being there they after all worked very hard to get there.
* The show is just starting and judging by what they achieved in this short time it will definitely be a success. Starac Lbc starts sluggish too but picked up when money started flying in.
* They do way better job in casting...so the students are actually better and more talented.
* I don't think students have the same kind of personalities it's just the 1st time they have this experience, they are not competing yet, beside the fact we don't see them 24/7.
I think with time we will have an extraordinary show, listen to our music, see our popular singers, talk our own accent, and best of all improve our TV shows qualities so we can keep in touch with our 3rd and 4th generations in Europe and expose them to their ancestors culture....we can do all of that while watching other Arab shows too... I think they are great and the more we have those type of shows the better.
I like the Starac Lbc but I think they got a lot of adjustment to do specially the way they treat non Lebanese singers and non Lebanese songs on general (don't get me wrong we at least in Tunisia adore a lot of Lebenese singers and songs we grow up hearing, singing and enjoying them more than any other Arab style)...but it's an Arab show after all so why it doesn't look Arab?!!

Duh!! Guys of course Imad is 100% better than Amal...His voice is better than her... He has a good personality and a good look but most of all his voice is wonderful!
